2021 Intercontinental GT Challenge
The 2021 Intercontinental GT Challenge was the sixth season of the Intercontinental GT Challenge. Normally a five round season, the races in the Pacific Rim were eliminated because of pandemic-related restrictions, reducing the season to three rounds, one in Europe (Total 24 Hours of Spa on 31 July), one in North America (Indianapolis 8 Hour), and one in Africa (Kyalami 9 Hours, later postponed to 5 February 2022). Nicky Catsburg and Augusto Farfus were the defending drivers' champions and Porsche was the defending Manufacturers' champion. Calendar At the annual press conference during the 2020 24 Hours of Spa on 23 October, the Stéphane Ratel Organisation announced the first draft of the 2021 calendar. Intercontinental GT Challenge
The Intercontinental GT Challenge is a sports car racing series developed by the SRO Group in 2016. It consists of international endurance races for grand tourer racing cars complying with the FIA's GT3 regulations. Format The series is aimed at manufacturers. Instead of fielding their own cars, manufacturers can appoint and support local teams in selected events to gain points. Four manufacturers took part in the inaugural series in 2016: Audi, Bentley, McLaren and Mercedes. The races may be stand-alone events, like the Suzuka 10 Hours, (which the event are organized by GT Association, Super GT race promoter) and the Bathurst 12 Hour (the event are organized by Supercars Events), or part of another championship (like the 24 Hours of Spa, Indianapolis 8 Hour and Kyalami 9 Hours) but they are all contested by cars complying with the same technical regulations. Patric Niederhauser (born 8 October 1991 in Münsingen) is a professional racing driver from Switzerland and a current Audi Factory Driver. He was the champion of the Formula Abarth Italian Series. 2021 GT World Challenge Europe
The 2021 Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe Powered by AWS was the eighth season of GT World Challenge Europe. The season began at Monza on 18 April and ended at Barcelona on 10 October. The season consisted of 10 events: 5 Sprint Cup events, and 5 Endurance Cup events. The season also had 2 Official Test Days. 2021 Kyalami 9 Hours
The 2021 Kyalami 9 Hours was an endurance event that took place on 5 February 2022 at the Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit in Midrand, South Africa. The event was the third and final round of the 2021 Intercontinental GT Challenge.
