Artistic Gymnastics
Artistic gymnastics is a discipline of gymnastics in which athletes perform short routines on different apparatuses. The sport is governed by the Fédération Internationale de Gymnastique (FIG), which designs the Code of Points and regulates all aspects of elite international competition. Within individual countries, gymnastics is regulated by national federations like British Gymnastics and USA Gymnastics. Artistic gymnastics is a popular spectator sport at many competitions, including the Summer Olympic Games. Giulia Steingruber
Giulia Steingruber (born 24 March 1994) is a retired Swiss artistic gymnast. She is the 2016 Olympic and 2017 World bronze medalist on vault. Additionally she is the 2015 European all-around champion, a four-time European vault champion (2013, 2014, 2016, and 2021) and the 2016 European floor exercise champion. Steingruber also competed for Switzerland at the 2012, 2016 and 2020 Olympic Games. She is the first Swiss female gymnast to win the European all-around title and the first Swiss female gymnast ever to win an Olympic gymnastics medal of any color. Igor Radivilov
Ihor (Igor) Vitaliyovych Radivilov ( uk, Ігор Віталійович Радівілов; born 19 October 1992) is a Ukrainian gymnast and three-time Olympian, having competed at the 2012, 2016, and 2020 Olympic Games. Although he competes on all apparatuses, he is best known as a vault and rings specialist. Personal life Radivilov was born on 19 October 1992 in Mariupol, eastern Ukraine. On 4 September 2016, he married Ukrainian gymnast Angelina Kysla. Career 2012–2016 Radivilov won silver medal in vault at the 2012 European Championships in Montpellier, France. Eleftherios Petrounias
Eleftherios "Lefteris" Petrounias ( gr, Ελευθέριος "Λευτέρης" Πετρούνιας; born 30 November 1990, Athens) is a Greek artistic gymnast. He is the 2016 Olympic champion, 2020 Olympic bronze medalist, three-time World champion (2015, 2017, 2018) and a six-time (2011, 2015–18, 2021, 2022) European medalist on the still rings (six gold and one bronze). He was named the Greek Male Athlete of the Year, for the years 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2018. Early life and education Petrounias grew up as a hyperactive child, and at the age of five, his mother brought him to the Panionios Gymnastics Club so that he could release his energy. Artur Davtyan ( hy, Արթուր Դավթյան, born August 8, 1992) is an Armenian gymnast. He is a member of the Armenia national team in gymnastics. Davtyan is a bronze medalist in the men's vault event at the 2020 Summer Olympics, World Championship Gold Medalist in men's vault, European Youth Champion, silver medalist in the World Cup and an Olympian. Nikita Vladimirovich Nagornyy ( rus, Никита Владимирович Нагорный, , nʲɪˈkʲitə nɐˈɡornɨɪ̯, born 12 February 1997 in Rostov-on-Don, Rostov Oblast, Russia) is a Russian artistic gymnast and two-time Olympian, representing Russia in 2016 and ROC in 2020. 2021 European Artistic Gymnastics Championships
The 9th European Men's and Women's Artistic Gymnastics Individual Championships were held from 21–25 April 2021 at St. Jakobshalle in Basel, Switzerland. The 2021 European Championships were an Olympic qualifying event, with two individual spots available for both disciplines. Russia earned a non-nominative quota spot in both disciplines, while Turkey's Adem Asil and Romania's Larisa Iordache qualified nominative berths for themselves in men's and women's artistic gymnastics, respectively. The original qualifiers, the 2020 European Men's and 2020 European Women's Championships, were undesignated as such in light of the COVID-19 pandemic in Europe.
