The 2021 E3 Saxo Bank Classic was a road cycling one-day race that took place on 26 March 2021 in Belgium. It was the 63rd edition of the E3 Saxo Bank Classic, and the 9th event of the 2021 UCI World Tour. Teams Twenty-five teams were invited to the race, including all nineteen UCI WorldTeams and six UCI ProTeams. were not allowed to start due to rider Matthew Walls testing positive for COVID-19. 2021 UCI World Tour
The 2021 UCI World Tour was a series of races that included twenty-nine road cycling events throughout the 2021 cycling season. The tour started with the opening stage of the UAE Tour on 21 February, and concluded with Il Lombardia on 9 October. Events The 2021 calendar was announced in the autumn of 2020. Cancelled events Due to COVID-19-related logistical concerns raised by teams regarding travel to Australia (including strict quarantine requirements), the Tour Down Under (19–24 January) and the Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race (31 January) were cancelled. Marco Haller (born 1 April 1991) is an Austrian professional road bicycling racer, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . Kasper Asgreen (born 8 February 1995) is a Danish cyclist, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . Asgreen won the 2021 edition of the Tour of Flanders by defeating Mathieu van der Poel in a sprint finish. Early life Asgreen was born in Kolding in the south of Denmark.
