2021 CONCACAF Beach Soccer Championship
The 2021 CONCACAF Beach Soccer Championship was the ninth edition of the CONCACAF Beach Soccer Championship, the premier beach soccer tournament contested by North, Central American and Caribbean men's national teams and organised the governing body of football in North America, CONCACAF. The tournament took place at the ''Sports Complex Fedefutbol-Plycem'' in San Rafael District, Alajuela, Costa Rica between 17–23 May 2021, with 12 nations contesting the title. Mexico national beach soccer team, Mexico were the defending champions, but lost in the third-place match. El Salvador national beach soccer team, El Salvador dominated the tournament, scoring fifty goals in six matches, and won their second title after beating the United States men's national beach soccer team, United States in the final, while Guatemala national beach soccer team, Guatemala defeated Mexico to finish third. Francisco Velásquez (born February 12, 1990 in La Barra de Santiago, Ahuachapán), also known simply as Frank, is a Salvadoran beach soccer player. He plays in forward position, and has won awards at the CONCACAF Beach Soccer Championship and FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup for his goalscoring abilities; he has appeared at four editions of the World Cup and scored his 100th goal for El Salvador during the 2021 tournament against Belarus. 2015 CONCACAF Beach Soccer Championship
The 2015 CONCACAF Beach Soccer Championship was a beach soccer tournament which took place in Costa del Sol, El Salvador on 28 March – 4 April 2015. This was the first time the CONCACAF Beach Soccer Championship was held in Central America. All matches were played at Estadio de Fútbol Playa (Costa del Sol) in La Paz Department, with an official capacity of 2,000. The tournament served as the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup qualifier for teams from North, Central America and Caribbean which are members of CONCACAF, where the top two teams qualified for the 2015 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup in Portugal. In the final, Mexico defeated Costa Rica to be crowned champions, and both teams qualified for the 2015 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup. The 2013 CONCACAF Beach Soccer Championship took place from 8–12 May 2013, in Nassau, Bahamas, for the first time. 2011 CONCACAF Beach Soccer Championship
The 2010 CONCACAF Beach Soccer Championship was a continental beach soccer tournament, which took place between December 1 and December 5, 2010, in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, for the third time in a row. Organizers had hoped to extend the number of teams participating from six to eight after seeing newcomers Bahamas compete in the previous competition, and this indeed materialized with Jamaica returning after four years and Guatemala joining the tournament. This meant that the competition took place between two groups of four in a round-robin format, with the top two teams in each group qualifying to the knockout stage.
