Ukrainian First League
The Persha Liha ( uk, Перша ліга) or Ukrainian First League is a professional football league in Ukraine and the second tier of national football competitions pyramid. Members of the league also participate in the Ukrainian Cup. It is the highest division of Professional Football League. History The league was set up by the newly reorganized Football Federation of Ukraine (a successor of the Football Federation of the Ukrainian SSR) with the falling apart Soviet Union as a second tier, lower than Ukrainian Higher League (Vyshcha Liha) and higher that Ukrainian Transitional League (Perekhidna Liha). The very first round of games that took place for this league was on 14 March 1992. FC Nyva Ternopil
FC Nyva Ternopil ( uk, Футбольний клуб «Нива» Тернопіль) is a Ukrainian football club from the city of Ternopil, the administrative center of Ternopil Oblast. As of the 2020–21 season, it played in the Ukrainian First League, the second tier of Ukrainian football, following promotion from the 2019–20 Ukrainian Second League. Originally the club was formed as Nyva Pidhaitsi in the small town Pidhaitsi in 1978, then moved to a district centre Berezhany changing its name to Nyva Berezhany in 1982, and finally moved to Ternopil becoming Nyva Ternopil in 1985. FC Avanhard Kramatorsk
Football Club Kramatorsk is a professional Ukrainian football club from the city of Kramatorsk in Donetsk Oblast. The club takes its history from a factory team of the Old Kramatorsk Machine-building Plant (SKMZ). History The club Avangard was reformed in 1955. Prior to World War II there existed a club that was associated with the machine industry in the city. In 1937, the club participated in the national championship as the champion of Ukraine. In 1939, the team won the Cup of Soviet Ukraine. The 2019–20 Ukrainian Premier League season was the 29th top-level football club competitions since the fall of the Soviet Union and the 12th since the establishment of the Ukrainian Premier League. Football Club Alians is a Ukrainian football club based in Lypova Dolyna, Sumy Oblast, in north-eastern Ukraine, founded in 2016. 1992 Ukrainian First League
1992 Ukrainian First League was the first Ukrainian First League season with the record number of teams participating in the league at 28 divided into groups. The season started on March 14 and finished July 5, 1992. At the end of the season the five worst teams from each of the two groups were relegated to the Ukrainian Second League (the third tier). The winners of each group qualified for the top league for the next season. Somewhat surprising was the performance of such teams as Pryladyst Mukacheve and Artania Ochakiv that were just a few points short of qualifying for the Ukrainian Premier League. Narodnyy Klub Veres Rivne ( uk, РНК «Верес») is a Ukrainian professional football club based in Rivne. The club competes in the Ukrainian Premier League, the top tier of Ukrainian football, after winning the 2020–21 Ukrainian First League. Their home stadium until 2017 was Avanhard Stadium. The 2004–05 Ukrainian First League was the 14th since its establishment. Eighteen teams competed in the competition. The competition began on July 17, 2004 with six matches. The competition had a winter break and resumed March 19, 2005.
