2019–20 Ukrainian Premier League
The 2019–20 Ukrainian Premier League season was the 29th top-level football club competitions since the fall of the Soviet Union and the 12th since the establishment of the Ukrainian Premier League. The tournament has been set to start on 28 July 2019. The same day there took place the game for the Ukrainian Super Cup. The UPL General Assembly also adopted a post season play-off mini-tournament for the last fifth berth of Ukraine in the 2020–21 UEFA Europa League competition which would involve the best team(s) of the relegation group.

The Ukrainian Super Cup ( uk , Суперкубок України) is an association football game of the Ukrainian Premier League in traditional super cup format that acts as the grand-opening for every new football (soccer), football competition season in Ukraine. Originally it was set as a contest between the winners of the previous season's Ukrainian Premier League, Ukrainian Championship and Ukrainian Cup. Thomas Grimm ( uk, Томас Ґрімм; born April 3, 1959, Lüscherz) is a Swiss jurist and football functionary, who has served as the president of the Ukrainian Premier League since 2018. Biography Grimm was born on April 3, 1959 in the Swiss village of Lüscherz. In 1987 he graduated as a jurisprudence faculty of the University of Bern. He headed a law department of UEFA from 1992 to 1995. During that time Grimm also participated in various working committees of UEFA. Between 1996 and 2001, he worked as a lawyer for CWL Telesport and Marketing AG (later known as Infront Sports & Media). House of Football ( uk, Будинок футболу, Budynok futbolu) is a headquarters of the Football Federation of Ukraine located in Kyiv, Ukraine, right next to the Olympiyskiy National Sports Complex. COVID-19 Pandemic In Ukraine
The COVID-19 pandemic in Ukraine has resulted in confirmed cases of COVID-19 and deaths. The virus was confirmed to have spread to Ukraine when the country's first case was confirmed to be hospitalized in Chernivtsi Oblast on 3 March 2020, a man who had travelled from Italy to Romania by plane and then arrived in Ukraine by car. An emergency was declared on 20 March 2020 in Kyiv Oblast, Chernivtsi Oblast, Zhytomyr Oblast, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast, and the city of Kyiv. New infections and deaths started to break records by late October 2021. By then, a total of 2.8 million coronavirus cases and 64,936 COVID-19 related deaths had occurred in Ukraine. Ukraine's ongoing vaccination program started on 24 February 2021 and from that day to 12 September 2021, 10,710,944 vaccinations were given in Ukraine (meaning 18% of the adult population of Ukraine had been vaccinated against COVID-19). The Persha Liha ( uk, Перша ліга) or Ukrainian First League is a professional football league in Ukraine and the second tier of national football competitions pyramid. Members of the league also participate in the Ukrainian Cup. It is the highest division of Professional Football League.
