2020–21 San Jose State Spartans Men's Basketball Team
The 2020–21 San Jose State Spartans men's basketball team represented San Jose State University in the 2020–21 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. They were led by fourth-year head coach Jean Prioleau and were members of the Mountain West Conference. Due to COVID-19 restrictions in Santa Clara County, the Spartans could not play their home games at their normal home arena, Provident Credit Union Event Center, and played their "home" games at different locations. Previous season The Spartans finished the season 7–24, 3–15 in Mountain West play to finish in tenth place. They lost in the first round of the Mountain West tournament to New Mexico. Jean Prioleau
Jéan-Edúard Prioleau (born March 30, 1970) is an American college basketball coach who was most recently head men's basketball coach at San Jose State from 2017 to 2021. Prioleau grew up in Teaneck, New Jersey and played college basketball at Fordham, where he was a two-time all- Patriot League honoree and helped Fordham qualify for the NCAA tournament for the first time in over 20 years. From 1992 to 1999, Prioleau played professional basketball for the Continental Basketball Association in the U.S. and various European leagues. In 1999, Prioleau began his basketball coaching career at Fordham. He subsequently had assistant coaching positions at Wichita State under Mark Turgeon, Marquette under Tom Crean, Iowa State under Greg McDermott, TCU under Jim Christian, and Colorado under Tad Boyle. Pasadena High School (PHS) is a public high school in Pasadena, California. It is one of four high schools in the Pasadena Unified School District. History The school was first established as a district school in 1884 and became Pasadena High School in 1891.
