2020–21 Logan Cup
The 2020–21 Logan Cup was the 27th edition of the Logan Cup, a first-class cricket competition in Zimbabwe, which started on 9 December 2020. After originally scheduled to start on 3 December 2020, the tournament was moved back a week to allow time to setup a bio-secure bubble. Five teams took part in the competition, including the Southern Rocks, who last played in the 2013–14 tournament. There was no defending champion, after the previous tournament was voided due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Four matches were played during December 2020. However, on 3 January 2021, Zimbabwe Cricket halted all cricket in the country following a rise in COVID-19 cases. In mid-March 2021, it was reported that the tournament would resume later that month, with the next round of matches starting on 18 March 2021. Zimbabwe Cricket
Zimbabwe Cricket (ZC), previously known as the Zimbabwe Cricket Union (ZCU) until 2004, is the governing body for the sport of cricket in Zimbabwe. Zimbabwe Cricket is a full member of the International Cricket Council (ICC), and administers the Zimbabwe national cricket team, organising Test tours, One-Day Internationals and Twenty20 Internationals with other nations. The captain of a cricket team, often referred to as the skipper, is the appointed leader, having several additional roles and responsibilities over and above those of the other players. Tapiwa Mufudza
Tapiwa Mufudza (born 20 September 1990) is a Zimbabwean cricketer. Mufudza has been an off-spinner since he took up the game at Mbizi Primary School in Highfield, Harare. He played for the Takashinga Cricket Club in Harare before being recruited by Mountaineers. He played his first matches for Mountaineers in 2011–12, and established himself in the side in 2012–13, when he took 13 wickets at an average of 14.92 to lead the national first-class bowling averages. In the Logan Cup match against Southern Rocks he scored 39 batting at number 10, then took 2 for 46 and 5 for 27 in a 116-run victory. Ashley Mufandauya (born 15 December 2001) is a Zimbabwean cricketer. He made his first-class debut on 26 February 2020, for Mashonaland Eagles in the 2019–20 Logan Cup. Wesley Nyasha Madhevere (born 4 September 2000) is a Zimbabwean cricketer. He made his international debut for the Zimbabwe cricket team in March 2020. Career Madhevere made his List A debut on 8 February 2020, for Mashonaland Eagles in the 2019–20 Pro50 Championship. Oskar Magnus David Kolk (born 9 January 1997) is an English first-class cricketer. Kolk was born at Guildford in January 1997. He was educated at Reed's School, before going up to Cardiff University. While studying at Cardiff, he made two appearances in first-class cricket for Cardiff MCCU against Somerset and Sussex in 2019. He scored 42 runs in his two matches, with a high score of 33.
