2020 Winnipeg Blue Bombers Season
The 2020 Winnipeg Blue Bombers season was scheduled to be the 63rd season for the team in the Canadian Football League (CFL) and their 88th season overall. The Blue Bombers would have entered the season as the defending Grey Cup champions for the first time in 29 years, having ended the franchise's lengthy drought with the previous year's championship win in the 107th Grey Cup game. This would have been the seventh season under head coach Mike O'Shea and the seventh full season under general manager Kyle Walters. Training camps, pre-season games, and regular season games were initially postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Manitoba. The CFL announced on April 7, 2020 that the start of the 2020 season would not occur before July 2020. Canadian Football League West Division
The West Division is one of the two regional divisions of the Canadian Football League (CFL), its counterpart being the East Division (CFL), East Division. Although the CFL was not founded until 1958, the West Division and its clubs are descended from earlier leagues. Noah Hallett (born September 9, 1997) is a Canadian football defensive back for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. He was drafted by the Blue Bombers in the second round of the 2020 CFL Draft. Professional career Hallett was drafted in the second round (18th overall) of the 2020 CFL Draft. On May 13, 2023, Hallett was released by the Blue Bombers. Hallett returned to the Bombers on October 17, 2023. He re-signed with the team on February 1, 2024. Nicholas Dheilly (born October 21, 1997) is a former Canadian football defensive end. He most recently played for the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League (CFL). The Western Mustangs football team (also known as the Western Ontario Mustangs) represents the University of Western Ontario in Canadian university football. Placekicker, or simply kicker (PK or K), is the player in gridiron football who is responsible for the kicking duties of field goals and extra points. In many cases, the placekicker also serves as the team's kickoff specialist or punter. Specialized role The kicker initially was not a specialized role. Marc Liegghio (born February 13, 1997) is a professional Canadian football placekicker and punter for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the Canadian Football League (CFL). Amateur career Liegghio played U Sports football for the Western Mustangs from 2015 to 2019. He sat out the 2015 season due to injury, but became the team's placekicker and punter in 2016 where he was named an OUA Second Team All-Star. In 2017, Liegghio was named a U Sports Second-team All-Canadian as a placekicker after connecting on 29 of 33 field goal attempts and all but one of his point-after-touchdown converts. The Nevada Wolf Pack football program represents the University of Nevada, Reno (commonly referred to as "Nevada" in athletics) in college football. The Wolf Pack competes in the Mountain West Conference at the Football Bowl Subdivision level of the NCAA Division I. It was founded on October 24, 1896, as the Sagebrushers in Reno, Nevada.
