2020 British National Track Championships ...
The 2020 British National Track Championships are a series of track cycling competitions. The National Track Championships (excluding certain events) were held from 24 to 26 January 2020 at the Manchester Velodrome. They are organised and sanctioned by British Cycling, and are open to British cyclists. The championships are sponsored by HSBC. The Derny, Omnium, Madison and Tandem events will take place at various venues throughout the year. Hayden Norris (born 21 August 2002) is an English cyclist. He has represented England at the Commonwealth Games. He retired for a short time in May of 2023 citing saddle sore issues, however, later confirmed he would continue cycling after achieving a power of 2181 watts. Jack Carlin (born 23 April 1997) is a Scottish track cyclist, who competes in sprinting events and won two medals at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. Cycling career In 2016, Carlin won his first senior international medal when taking silver at the European Track Championships in the team sprint. In 2018 he won silver medals at the World Championships in both the sprint and team sprint. This was followed by silver in the sprint at the Commonwealth Games and bronze at the European Championships in the keirin. Carlin again achieved a silver medal in the team sprint at the 2020 World Championships. He won the silver medal at the 2016 UEC European Track Championships in the team sprint. At the 2018 Commonwealth Games, Truman won Silver in the team sprint event alongside Ryan Owens and Philip Hindes. Truman participated in two seasons (2018/19 and 2019/20) of the ‘JKA’ Japanese Keirin racing series, a hugely popular, multi million dollar gambling sport.
