2019–20 SK Slavia Prague Season
The 2019–20 season was SK Slavia Prague's 27th season in the Czech First League. Slavia successfully defended their domestic title, winning the Czech First League for the sixth time, whilst in the Czech Cup they were knocked out in the Fourth Round by Baník Ostrava. In the UEFA Champions League, Slavia finished bottom of their group, which included Internazionale, Borussia Dortmund and Barcelona, with 2 points. Season events On 11 March it was announced that Slavia would play their next two matches, away to Mladá Boleslav on Saturday 14 March and at home to Jablonec on Saturday 21 March, without fans, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Sportovní klub Slavia Praha – fotbal (Sports Club Slavia Prague – Football, ), commonly known as Slavia Praha or Slavia Prague, is a Czech professional football club in Prague. FC Baník Ostrava
FC Baník Ostrava is a football club from the Silesian part of the city of Ostrava, Czech Republic. Founded in 1922 as ''SK Slezská Ostrava'', Baník has won numerous national and international trophies. History Formation and history to 1937 The club was founded on 8 September 1922 as ''SK Slezská Ostrava'', when 20 activists signed the establishment treaty in the ''U Dubu'' restaurant. The signatories were mostly poor coal miners from the Kamenec coal mining settlement in Ostrava. The founders were Karel Aniol, Arnošt Haberkiewicz, Petr Křižák, František Mruzek and Jaroslav Horák. Lukáš Provod (born 23 October 1996) is a Czech professional footballer who plays as a left winger for Czech First League club Slavia Prague and the Czech Republic national team. Club career Provod made his Czech National Football League debut for Baník Sokolov on 6 August 2016 in a match against Vlašim. Liberec
Liberec (; german: Reichenberg ) is a city in the Czech Republic. It has about 103,000 inhabitants and it is the fifth-largest city in the country. Nicolae Claudiu Stanciu (; born 7 May 1993) is a Romanian professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder or a winger for Chinese Super League club Wuhan Three Towns and the Romania national team. David Hovorka
David Hovorka (born 7 August 1993) is a retired professional Czech football defender. He played for four clubs in the Czech First League. Club career Hovorka spent most of his youth career in Sparta Prague, arriving from SK Kročehlavy in 2002 at nine years old. He entered the first team squad in 2012, but failed to make a league appearance for the club. Tomáš Holeš (born 31 March 1993) is a Czech professional footballer who plays as a centre-back, right-back or defensive midfielder for Fortuna Liga club Slavia Prague and the Czech national team.
