2019 PSA Annual Awards
The 2019 San Miguel Corporation – PSA Annual Awards was an annual awarding ceremony recognizing the top athletes, coaches, officials, sports personalities (both living or deceased), National Sports Associations and sports-related organizations for the year 2018, particularly from those who competed in the international tournaments such as the Asian Games, Asian Para Games and Summer Youth Olympics. The awards night is organized by the Philippine Sportswriters Association, the country's oldest media organization founded in 1949. Golf is a club-and-ball sport in which players use various clubs to hit balls into a series of holes on a course in as few strokes as possible. Olympic Weightlifting
Olympic weightlifting, or Olympic-style weightlifting (officially named Weightlifting), is a sport in which athletes compete in lifting a barbell loaded with weight plates from the ground to overhead, with each athlete trying to successfully lift the heaviest weights. Athletes compete in two specific ways of lifting the barbell overhead: these are the snatch and the clean and jerk. Marestella Sunang
Marestella Torres-Sunang (born February 20, 1981) is a Filipino long jumper. Career Torres-Sunang started long jumping in 1994 in Negros Oriental. Her talent was recognized by her teachers but she often train with a limited budget doing jumps on rice husks rather than a proper sand pit. Torres-Sunang finished fourth at the 2002 Asian Championships and won the silver medal at the 2005 Asian Championships. She also competed at the 2005 World Championships without reaching the final. She also participated in the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, China. In 2009, she surprisingly won the 2009 Asian Championships with a leap of 6.51 m. Rubilen "Bingkay" Amit (born October 3, 1981) is a Filipino female professional pocket billiards (pool) player. Amit is the first Filipino woman to become a world pool champion. Biography Rubilen Amit was born in Mandaue, Cebu. Amit began playing during her teens, often tagging along with her father Bobby at the Super Bowl in Makati. In college, she studied accountancy at the University of Santo Tomas. She participated in and won the 2000 and 2001 College of Commerce and Business Administration's billiards tournaments.
