2019 FIVB Volleyball Women's U20 World Championship
The 2019 FIVB Volleyball Women's U20 World Championship will be the twentieth edition of the FIVB Volleyball Women's U20 World Championship, contested by the women's national teams under the age of 20 of the members of the ' (FIVB), the sport's global governing body. The final tournament was held in Mexico from 12 to 21 July 2019. Mexico played hosts for this event for the fourth time. The finals involved 16 teams, of which 15 came through qualifying competitions, while the host nation qualified automatically. Of the 16 teams, 15 had also appeared in the previous tournament in 2017, while Rwanda made its first appearances at an FIVB Volleyball Women's U20 World Championship. Mayu Ishikawa
is a Japanese professional volleyball player from Okazaki City, Aichi, Prefecture. She's a member of the Japan Women's National Volleyball Team, as one of its outside hitters. She competed at the 2020 Summer Olympics, in Women's volleyball. She currently plays for the club Toray Arrows. She used to be the captain of Japan U-18 and U-20 national volleyball team. Personal life Ishikawa has one older sister and one older brother, Yūki Ishikawa, who is a member of Japan men's national volleyball team. She was motivated by her siblings to start playing volleyball and her brother would always give good advice about spiking when she was in high school. Career She started playing volleyball when she was in the third year of Yahagi Minami Elementary School, in Okazaki city, and joined the local club team Anjo Kita Rabbits. 2019 Women's Junior Pan-American Volleyball Cup
The 2019 Women's Junior Pan-American Volleyball Cup was the fifth edition of the bi-annual women's volleyball tournament. Seven teams participated in this edition held in Lima. Cuba won the tournament defeating the Dominican Republic and qualified for the 2019 FIVB Volleyball Women's U20 World Championship, Women's U20 World Championship. The Confederación Sudamericana de Voleibol (CSV) (Portuguese: ) is the continental governing body for the sports of volleyball in South America. Its headquarters is located in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
