2018–19 Serbian League East
The 2018–19 Serbian League East was the 16th season of one of the four third level leagues in Serbian football. The league consists of 18 teams. A higher level of competition is the First League, while the lower three Zone Leagues are West, East and South. FK Dubočica
Gradski fudblski klub Dubočica (), commonly known as Dubočica, is a Serbian football club based in the southern city of Leskovac, which competes in the third division Serbian League East. The club's name derives from a traditional synonym for Leskovac and the surrounding region. History Early years (1923–1941) On May Day, 1924 the trade unionist and revolutionary Kosta Stamenković initiated the establishment of a football physical-cultural society in Leskovac, Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes. Gadžin Han ( sr-cyr, Гаџин Хан) is a village and municipality located in the Nišava District of the southern Serbia. According to 2011 census, the municipality has 8,389 inhabitants, from which 1,223 live in Gadžin Han itself. Trstenik, Serbia
Trstenik ( sr-cyr, Трстеник, ) is a town and municipality located in the Rasina District of central Serbia. As of 2011 census, the town has 15,329, while the municipality has 42,989 inhabitants. It lies on the West Morava river. History In the Early and Middle Iron Age, the tribe of Triballi inhabited the West Morava. Romans conquered the area in the 1st century AD. Roman sites include the Stražbe ''castrum'' on the right bank of the river, as well as sites in Bučje and Donji Dubić, and others still unexplored. The Romans introduced the ''Vitis vinifera'' (Common Grape Vine) to the region, which still today is processed in Serbian wineyards (It is one of the main incomes in the municipality). Varvarin
Varvarin ( sr-cyr, Варварин, ) is a town and municipality located in the Rasina District of central Serbia. Population of the town is 2,133, and population of the municipality is 17,772. History The town is notable as the site of an 1810 battle during the Russo-Turkish War (1806-1812) between the Ottoman Empire and a combined Russian and Serbian army. A statue to the Russian commander Joseph Cornelius O'Rourke and his men was erected in 1910 on the centenary of their victory in the battle, which freed the city from Turkish domination. From 1929 to 1941, Varvarin was part of the Morava Banovina of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia. Boljevac
Boljevac ( sr-cyr, Бољевац, ; ro, Bulioț) is a town and municipality located in the Zaječar District of eastern Serbia. According to 2011 census, the population of the town is 3,332, while population of the municipality is 12,865. History From 1929 to 1941, Boljevac was part of the Morava Banovina of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia. In 2010, the Commission on Concealed Mass Graves in Serbia discovered a mass grave of people killed by Yugoslav Partisans during World War II in the settlement of Zmijanac. Svilajnac ( sr-cyr, Свилајнац, ) is a town and municipality located in the Pomoravlje District of central Serbia. The population of the town is 9,131 inhabitants, while the municipality has 23,391 inhabitants. It is located south-east of Belgrade, on the banks of the river Resava, and bordering the river Morava. Its name stems from the word for silk in Serbian. History Svilajnac was first mentioned in Ottoman records in 1467 as a village with a hundred households. The village, and later town, gained prominence through its silk production, from which it derives its name (''svila'', "silk"). Lebane ( sr-cyr, Лебане) is a town and municipality located in Jablanica District of southern Serbia. According to the 2011 census, the town has a population of 10,062 inhabitants, while the municipality has 20,000 inhabitants.
