The 2018–19 Prva A Liga, known as Erste košarkaške lige by sponsorship reasons, is the 13th season of the Montenegrin Basketball League, the top tier basketball league on Montenegro. Mornar is the defending champion. Competition format Nine of the eleven teams that play the league join the regular season and play a two-round robin competition where the six first qualified teams join the Super Liga with the two 2018–19 ABA League teams ( Budućnost Voli and Mornar). The last qualified team would play a relegation playoff against the second qualified of the Prva B. Podgorica
Podgorica (Cyrillic script, Cyrillic: Подгорица, ; Literal translation, lit. 'under the hill') is the Capital city, capital and List of cities and towns in Montenegro, largest city of Montenegro. KK Primorje 1945
The Prva A liga, for sponsorships reasons named the Erste Liga, is the top-tier professional basketball league in Montenegro. It is the highest basketball division organized by the Basketball Association of Montenegro (KSCG). It was established in 2006. shortly after Montenegro declared its independence from Serbia and Montenegro. The league is sponsored by and named after Erste Bank. Currently, two clubs from the area are playing in the regional ABA League. The most successful club in the Prva A liga is Budućnost Podgorica, which has won 14 titles, after winning the 2022 championship. KK Ibar Rožaje
KK Ibar is a professional basketball club from Rožaje, Montenegro. The team currently competes in the First Montenegrin Opportunity League, Erste Basketball League. They gained their status of a first division team by winning the second division league Prva B Liga in 2011/12. The club also competes in all leagues for younger players. Golubovci
Golubovci ( cnr, Голубовци, ) is a small town in the Podgorica Municipality of Montenegro. It has 3,110 residents according to 2011 census, while the ''Golubovci City Municipality'' accounts for some 16,093 residents. Transport Sometimes Podgorica Airport is referred as to Golubovci Airport by locals, the airport being just 5 km away from the town. Golubovci is located next to the M-2, Podgorica - Bar road ( E65/ E80), main Montenegrin road connection between the coast and northern part of the country. Ulcinj
Ulcinj ( cyrl, Улцињ, ; ) is a town on the southern coast of Montenegro and the capital of Ulcinj Municipality. It has an urban population of 10,707 (2011), the majority being Albanians. As one of the oldest settlements in the Adriatic coast, it was founded in 5th century BC. It was captured by the Romans in 163 BC from the Illyrians. With the division of the Roman Empire, it became part of the Byzantine Empire. It was known as a base for piracy. During the Middle Ages it was under South Slavic rule for a few centuries. Cetinje
Cetinje (, ) is a town in Montenegro. It is the former royal capital (''prijestonica'' / приjестоница) of Montenegro and is the location of several national institutions, including the official residence of the president of Montenegro.
