The 2018 Telkom Knockout was the 37th edition of the Telkom Knockout, a South African cup competition comprising the 16 teams in the Premier Soccer League. It took place between October and December 2018, and was won by Baroka F.C., Baroka, their first-ever major title. The first-place prize money was R4 million. Mamelodi, part of the City of Tshwane Metropolitan Municipality, is a township set up by the then apartheid government northeast of Pretoria, Gauteng, South Africa. Etymology "Mamelodi" is the name derived from the Sepedi word with the prefix being "ma" meaning mother, and the suffix "melodi" meaning melodies. Its meaning can be translated to mean ''Mother of Melodies''. History The township was established when 16 houses were built on the farm Vlakfontein in June 1953 and later the name changed to Mamelodi. Harry Gwala Stadium
Harry Gwala Stadium is a multi-use stadium in Pietermaritzburg, South Africa. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home ground of Premier Soccer League club Maritzburg United. In 2008 the stadium had a capacity of 10,000, but around September 2009 it was upgraded to 12,000 seats. The reason for this, was an urgent need for more high capacity stadiums in the region, particular being requested as part of the upcoming 2010 FIFA World Cup. The stadium, was initially planned to be able to seat 20,000 supporters, but the municipality revealed, that with the funds at their disposal, the stadium will have a capacity of just 12,000. Moeketsi Sekola (born 27 January 1989) is a South African footballer who last played as an attacker for Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila. Siphesihle Ndlovu (born 30 September 1996) is a South African professional soccer player who plays as a midfielder for Premier Soccer League side Orlando Pirates and the South Africa national team.
