2018 China Formula 4 Championship
The 2018 F4 Chinese Championship (Shell Cup FIA F4 Chinese Championship) was the fourth season of the F4 Chinese Championship. It began on 13 May at the Ningbo International Circuit and finished on 14 October at the same place after seven triple header rounds, all of them co-hosted with the China Formula Grand Prix championship. F4 Chinese Championship
F4 Chinese Championship () is a racing series regulated according to FIA Formula 4. The inaugural season was the 2015–16 edition. History Gerhard Berger and the FIA Singleseater Commission launched the FIA Formula 4 in March 2013. The goal of Formula 4 is to make the ladder to Formula 1 more transparent. It involves sporting and technical regulations and regulates costs. Cars competing in this category are not allowed to cost more than €30,000. A single season in a Formula 4 may not exceed €100,000. The Spanish F4 is planned to be the one of the second phase Formula 4 championships. The first phase championships was the Italian F4 Championship and the Formula 4 Sudamericana, which started in 2014. Chengdu Goldenport Circuit
Chengdu Goldenport Circuit () also known as Chengdu International Circuit in English, was a permanent circuit in Shi Sheng Road, Jin Jiang, 610023 Chengdu, People's Republic of China. It held a round of Asian Touring Car Series (ATCS), Formula V6 Asia in 2007 and 2008. On August 26 2008, the circuit was confirmed to be hosting a round of the 2008-09 A1 Grand Prix season. It was the fourth different circuit in China to have hosted an A1 Grand Prix race. The track hosted the second round of the Grand Prix season on 9 November 2008, the Sprint race was won by Adam Carroll of Team Ireland and the Feature race was won by Filipe Albuquerque of Team Portugal. The fastest lap at the circuit was set by Robert Doornbos of Team The Netherlands, who managed a lap of 1:15.212. In August 2019, the venue was announced to be demolished. 2018 World Touring Car Cup
The 2018 FIA World Touring Car Cup (known as the FIA WTCR presented by Oscaro for sponsorship reasons) was the inaugural season of the World Touring Car Cup (WTCR). It took over from the World Touring Car Championship and adopted the TCR technical regulations. It was also the 14th overall season of the series that dates from the 2005 World Touring Car Championship. The change of name and new rules follow the declining interest in the TC1 regulations used by the World Touring Car Championship between 2014 and 2017 and the growing interest among manufacturers in the TCR touring car category. The Wuhan Street Circuit is a street circuit in the Chinese city of Wuhan, the capital of the province of Hubei. History The Wuhan Street Circuit is located around the Wuhan Sports Center, a large sports complex in the city. The street circuit was first used in 2017, when the penultimate race weekend of the China Touring Car Championship (CTCC) was held in Wuhan. The races were won by Robert Huff and Zhendong Zhang. The 2018 Blancpain GT Series Asia was the second season of SRO Motorsports Group and Team Asia One GT Management's Blancpain GT Series Asia, an auto racing series for grand tourer cars in Asia. The races were contested with GT3-spec and GT4-spec cars. The season began on 14 April at Sepang and ended on 14 October at Ningbo. Shanghai International Circuit
The Shanghai International Circuit () is a motorsport race track, situated in the Jiading District, Shanghai. The circuit is best known as the venue for the annual Chinese Grand Prix which was hosted from 2004 to 2019 and was scheduled again from 2024 onwards, but its race was cancelled due to COVID-19 pandemic. History Shanghai International Circuit was conceived by the Shanghai authorities as a way to showcase the city to the world. The 2018 F3 Asian Championship was a multi-event, Formula 3 open-wheel single seater motor racing championship held across Asia. The championship features a mix of professional and amateur drivers, competing in Formula 3 cars that conform to the FIA Formula 3 regulations for the championship. This is the inaugural season of the championship.
