2018 24H TCE Series
The 2018 24H Touring Car Endurance Series powered by Hankook was the third season of the Touring Car Endurance Series (TCES). Creventic was the organiser and promoter of the series. Touring Car Endurance Series
The Touring Car Endurance Series (abbreviated as TCES) or 24H TCE Series (since 2018) is a touring car racing series developed by Creventic and with approval from the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA). The calendar consists only of 24-hour and 12-hour races. Creventic Dutch agency Creventic is the organiser and promoter of the series. Their goals are to organise races with "low costs, a convivial atmosphere with teams and drivers from all over the world and fair competition on the track." In co-operation with the Dutch National Racing Team (DNRT) – one of the biggest motorsport organisations of the Benelux – they organised the inaugural Dubai 24 Hour in 2006. Creventic is also the organiser of the 24H Series. In 2016 the calendar features three races and one of those is the 24H Silverstone which is both part of the 24H Series and the TCES. Spa (; wa, Spå) is a city and municipality of Wallonia located in the province of Liège, Belgium, whose name became an eponym for mineral baths with supposed curative properties. The Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps (), frequently referred to as ''Spa'', is a motor-racing circuit located in Stavelot, Belgium. It is the current venue of the Formula One Belgian Grand Prix, hosting its first Grand Prix in 1925, and has held a Grand Prix every year since 1985 (except 2003 and 2006). Spa also hosts several other international events including the 24 Hours of Spa, the World Endurance Championship 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps. It is also home to the Uniroyal Fun Cup 25 Hours of Spa, one of the longest motor races in the world. The Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya () is a motorsport race track in Montmeló, Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. With long straights and a variety of corners, the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya is seen as an all-rounder circuit. The track has stands with a capacity of 140,700. Fermín Vélez
Fermín Vélez (April 3, 1959 – March 31, 2003) was a Spanish sports car racing driver, two-time winner of the 12 Hours of Sebring and two-time World Sportscar Championship Group C2 champion. Vélez was a driver in the Indy Racing League, racing in the 1996–1997 seasons with six career starts, including two at the Indianapolis 500. Born in Barcelona, Spain, Vélez died there of cancer. Vélez is honoured by the 24H Series sportscar race at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya in Montmeló, where the race is called the Fermin Vélez Trophy.
