2017–18 Football League (Greece)
The 2017–18 Football League is the second division of the Greek professional football league system and the seventh season under the name Football League after previously being known as ''Beta Ethniki''. It will start at 28 October, Teams * 1 Acharnaikos was expelled during the season :1. Agrotikos Asteras withdrew from the league. As a result of this they will participate in 2017–18 Gamma Ethniki. A.E. Karaiskakis were promoted from the Gamma Ethniki in their place. :2. Iraklis Thessaloniki withdrew from the league because of Financial Problems. The Founding Club (Athlitiki Enosis Pontion Katerini) stopped to exist too. The Football League ( el, Φούτμπολ Λιγκ) was the second highest professional football league in Greece since its inception in 1962 as ''Beta Ethniki'' and until 2019. It then served as a third tier after the creation of the Super League 2 as the new second tier and it was eventually abolished in 2021 when the 2021–22 Super League 2 went from a 12 team to a 36 team league, absorbing most of the clubs from the Football League. Panegialios F
Panegialios ( el, Παναιγιάλειος Γ.Σ. (''Panegialios Gymnastics Club'', referring to Aigialeia, a subprefecture covering the northeastern part of Achaea) is a football club based in Aigio, Greece. Panegialios has a long tradition in Greek football championships and has several appearances in the Greek Super League (former A' Ethniki), 2nd Division and 3rd Division. Additionally the team has reached twice the semi-finals of the Greek Cup competition. Panegialios is one of the most successful and popular teams in Achaea and Peloponnese. Aiginio (), known before 1926 as ''Libanovo'' (), is a town and a former municipality in Pieria regional unit, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Pydna-Kolindros, of which it is the seat and a municipal unit. The 2016–17 Gamma Ethniki was the 34th season since the official establishment of the third tier of Greek football in 1983. It started on 11 September 2016 and ended at May 2017. 61 teams were separated into four groups, according to geographical criteria.
