The 2017 Memorial of Hubert Jerzy Wagner was a volleyball tournament held at the Tauron Arena Kraków, Tauron Arena in Kraków, Poland from 11 to 13 August 2017. Like the previous edition, 4 teams participated in the tournament. Poland won 2 of 3 matches and won the competition 7th time. The last match of tournament was the decisive match, where Poland beat Russia in tie-break. Bartosz Kurek
Bartosz Kamil Kurek (born 29 August 1988) is a Polish professional volleyball player. He is a member of the Poland national team, a participant in the Olympic Games (London 2012, Rio 2016, Tokyo 2020), 2018 World Champion, 2009 European Champion, and the 2012 World League winner. In 2019, he became the first ever volleyball player to be voted the Polish Sports Personality of the Year. At the professional club level, he plays for Wolfdogs Nagoya. Personal life Bartosz Kurek was born in Wałbrzych, but raised in Nysa. His father, Adam Kurek, was also a volleyball player. The North, Central America and Caribbean Volleyball Confederation (NORCECA) is the international governing body for the sports of volleyball in Northern America, Central America, and the Caribbean. NORCECA is the continental confederation that represents its 35 member associations at the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) level.
