The 2017 IAAF World Challenge was the eighth edition of the annual, global circuit of one-day track and field competitions organized by the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF). The series featured a total of nine meetings – three fewer than the previous year as the Rieti Meeting, Melbourne Track Classic, Meeting Grand Prix IAAF de Dakar and IAAF World Challenge Beijing all dropped out and the only new addition was the Paavo Nurmi Games. Arena Caixa
An arena is a large enclosed platform, often circular or oval-shaped, designed to showcase theatre, musical performances, or sporting events. ISTAF Berlin
The Internationales Stadionfest (ISTAF) is an annual track and field athletics meeting at the Olympic Stadium in Berlin, Germany. It was first held in July 1921 at the Deutsches Stadion, which was replaced from 1937 by the Stadium of the 1936 Olympic Games. Since 2006 ISTAF has been sponsored by DKB and officially known as the DKB-ISTAF and from 2010, had been part of the IAAF World Challenge, the second tier of global one day athletics events. The Meeting de Atletismo Madrid is an annual international athletics meeting that takes place at the Centro Deportivo Municipal Moratalaz in Madrid, Spain. The inaugural edition took place in 1979 at Estadio de Vallehermoso. After several years the meeting moved from 1994 until 2004 to Estadio de Madrid and then back to Vallehermoso from until 2008. Golden Spike ( cz, Zlatá tretra) is an annual athletics event at the Městský Stadion in Ostrava- Vítkovice, Czech Republic as part of the IAAF World Challenge Meetings. It was first organized in 1961. The history of the meeting was interrupted in 1999, when the meeting was not held due to the apparent lack of interest of sponsors. Paavo Nurmi Stadium ( fi, Paavo Nurmen stadion, sv, Paavo Nurmis stadion) is a multi-use stadium in Turku, Finland. It is currently used mostly for football matches and athletics meets. It holds 13,000 people and is named after the Turku-born runner Paavo Nurmi. Twenty athletics world records have been set at the stadium.
