The 2017 All-Ireland Post Primary Schools Croke Cup was the 66th staging of the Croke Cup since its establishment by the Gaelic Athletic Association in 1944. Presentation College, Athenry
Presentation College, Athenry is a voluntary secondary school which is predominantly Catholic in character located in the town of Athenry, County Galway, Ireland. It is under the trusteeship of Catholic Education an Irish Schools Trust (CEIST). History Presentation Convent in Athenry was established by the Tuam mother-house. Sisters taught in the old girls' primary school at Abbey Row until, some years later, a new primary school was built on the parish lands at the rear of the convent. In the late 1920s, the Sisters began to provide secondary education for girls in the primary school through development of a secondary top. In 1930, four girls took the Intermediate Certificate examination, fore-runner of the present Junior Certificate. Evan Niland
Evan Niland (born 10 July 1998) is an Irish hurler who plays for Galway Senior Championship club Clarinbridge and at inter-county level with the Galway senior hurling team. He usually lines out as a corner-forward. Career Niland first came to hurling prominence as a schoolboy with the Presentation College in Athenry, with whom he won three successive Connacht Colleges Championships. He simultaneously lined out with the Clarinbridge club at juvenile and underage levels and was part of the senior team that lost the 2021 Galway SHC final to St Thomas's. Niland first appeared on the inter-county scene as a member of the Galway minor hurling team that beat Tipperary in the 2015 All-Ireland minor hurling final. He later won a Leinster U21 Championship. Brian McGrath (born 1998) is an Irish hurler who plays for Tipperary Senior Championship club Loughmore–Castleiney and at inter-county level with the Tipperary senior hurling team. He usually lines out as a full-back. Personal life McGrath is the son of Pat McGrath who won an All-Ireland medal with Tipperary in 1989. His brothers, Noel and John, are also All-Ireland medal-winners and current teammates on the Tipperary senior team. O'Connor Park
O'Connor Park ( ga, Páirc Uí Chonchúir) is a GAA stadium in Tullamore, County Offaly, Ireland. It is one of the principal grounds of the Offaly GAA Gaelic football and hurling teams. It is known for sponsorship reasons as Bord na Móna O’Connor Park. The ground was opened in 1934, to replace Ballyduff Park, and currently has a capacity of 18,000. St Colman's College, Fermoy
St Colman's College (Irish: Coláiste Cholmáin) is an all-boys voluntary secondary school, and former boarding school, in Fermoy, County Cork. The College was founded in 1856 and opened in 1858 as the diocesan college of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Cloyne. Archbishop Thomas Croke, after whom Croke Park is named, became the school's first President in this year. The College is renowned for its sporting history. The Dr Harty Cup, officially known as the Munster Colleges Senior A Hurling Championship, is an annual inter-schools hurling competition organised by the Munster Council of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA). It is the highest inter-schools hurling competition in the province of Munster, and has been contested every year, except on two occasions, since 1918. Ardscoil Ris are the centenary Champions winning the title in 2018. The final, usually held in February, serves as the culmination of a series of games played between October and January.
