Brian McGrath (hurler)
Brian McGrath (born 1998) is an Irish hurler who plays for Tipperary Senior Championship club Loughmore–Castleiney and at inter-county level with the Tipperary senior hurling team. He usually lines out as a full-back. Personal life McGrath is the son of Pat McGrath who won an All-Ireland medal with Tipperary in 1989. His brothers, Noel and John, are also All-Ireland medal-winners and current teammates on the Tipperary senior team. Career McGrath made his senior debut for Tipperary on 1 March 2020, in round 4 of the 2020 National Hurling League against Waterford in an 0–24 to 2–16 win. Loughmore
Loughmore, officially Loughmoe ( ; or ''Luachma''), is a village in County Tipperary, Ireland. The village is best known for Loughmoe Castle, seat of the Barons of Loughmoe. It is one half of the parish of Loughmore-Castleiney in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Cashel and Emly. Loughmoe gives its name to the civil parish of Loughmoe West which is in the historical barony of Eliogarty. Toponymy The village's Irish-language name ''Luach Maigh'' (earlier: ''Luach-mhagh'') means "reward-field". Today's ''Loughmore'' – which would correspond to Irish ''Loch Mór'' ("great lake") – is the result of a mistake by British mapmakers of the 19th century. The 2019 All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship was the 132nd staging of the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship, the Gaelic Athletic Association's premier inter-county hurling tournament, since its establishment in 1887. The draw for the 2019 fixtures took place on 11 October 2018. The championship began on 11 May 2019 and concluded on 18 August 2019. Limerick were the defending champions. The 2016 Tipperary Senior Football Championship was the 126th edition of the Tipperary GAA's premier club Gaelic football tournament for senior graded teams in County Tipperary, Ireland. The Dr Harty Cup, officially known as the Munster Colleges Senior A Hurling Championship, is an annual inter-schools hurling competition organised by the Munster Council of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA). The Dr Croke Cup is the trophy presented to the winner of the All Ireland Secondary Schools Senior "A" hurling championship. Before that it was an inter-county GAA competition in hurling. The first Croke Cups (which included hurling and Gaelic football) took place between 1896 and 1915. Clare was the first winner of the Dr Croke Cup for hurling in 1896.
