2016–17 WABA League
WABA League for the season 2016–17 was the sixteen season of the Adriatic League. Competition included ten teams from six countries. In this season participating clubs from Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Slovenia and from Macedonia. WABA League for the season 2016–17 has begun to play October 2016. and ended in March 2017. It was originally intended that in group A play Nikšić 1995 from Montenegro, but after giving up this team, in its place was moved from Group B team Play Off Happy in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Team Play Off Sarajevo at the beginning of 2017 changed the general sponsor, and is the first part of the season appeared well Play Off Happy, and the other as Play Off Ultra. WABA League
WABA League, commonly known as the Adriatic League, is a top-level regional basketball league, featuring female teams from Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia, Bulgaria, Slovenia and Croatia. Clubs from Austria, Turkey, Hungary and Italy had their representatives in WABA League in past seasons. Since 2012 a Cadet WABA League and since 2014 Pionir WABA League is also played. History Formation and early years WABA League was established in 2001 as EWWL League. In its first season it included six teams from four countries (Austria, Slovenia, Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina). After the regular season, it held a tournament in which the three best teams played, which was won by Athlete Celje. Next season the league expanded from six to eight teams, and the final tournament was altered so that the placement included the four top teams. Kraljevo Sports Hall
Kraljevo Sports Hall ( sr, Hala sportova u Kraljevu) is a multi-use indoor arena in Kraljevo, Serbia. The arena has a total capacity of 6,000. It is used mostly for team handball and basketball matches since it is a home arena of basketball teams KK Sloga and KK Mašinac as well as volleyball team OK Ribnica. The arena was officially opened on 11 February 2015. In March 2015 Serbia played against Croatia for the Davis Cup first round, while the following year Serbia Fed Cup team received Spain for the Fed Cup World Group II at this stadium. Morača Sports Centre ( Montenegrin: ''Sportski centar Morača'', Спортски центар Морача) is a multi-sports venue that is located in Podgorica, Montenegro. The venue is located in the new part of Podgorica, on the right bank of Morača River, after which it got its name. Stara Zagora ( bg, Стара Загора, ) is the sixth-largest city in Bulgaria, and the administrative capital of the homonymous Stara Zagora Province. Montana ( bg, Монтана ) is a town in northwestern Bulgaria. It is the administrative centre of the Montana Province. On the 2021 census, it had a population of 36,455.
