Buffalo Bulls Men's Basketball
The Buffalo Bulls men's basketball team represents the University at Buffalo in Buffalo, New York, United States. The team currently competes in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) at the Division I level as a member of the Mid-American Conference (MAC) East Division. Buffalo began play in 1915 and joined the MAC in 1998. Northeast Conference Men's Basketball Player Of The Year
The Northeast Conference (NEC) Men's Basketball Player of the Year is an annual college basketball award given to the Northeast Conference's most outstanding player. The award was first given following the 1982–83 season, when the league was known as the ECAC Metro Conference. The most well-recognized NEC Player of the Year is Marist's Rik Smits, who won the award in 1987 and 1988. Smits went on to have a successful National Basketball Association (NBA) career for 12 seasons (1988–2000), all with the Indiana Pacers. In 1998, Smits was named an Eastern Conference All-Star. In 2021–22, Alex Morales of Wagner became just the fourth NEC player to be named Player of the Year for two consecutive seasons, and the first since Charles Jones of Long Island University in 1997 and 1998. Blake Francis (born January 3, 1998) is an American professional basketball player for the Cleveland Charge of the NBA G League. He played college basketball for the Wagner Seahawks and the Richmond Spiders. High school career After spending his freshman year at Bishop O'Connell High School in Arlington, Virginia, Francis transferred to Westfield High School in Chantilly, Virginia. As a senior, he averaged 20.1 points per game and led Westfield to the Virginia 6A state championship, scoring 23 points against Oscar F. Smith High School in the title game. Quincy McKnight
Quincy McKnight (born December 5, 1995) is an American professional basketball player who last played for Fort Wayne Mad Ants of the NBA G League. He played college basketball for the Sacred Heart Pioneers and the Seton Hall Pirates. He grew up in Bridgeport, Connecticut and attended St. Joseph High School before transferring to The Phelps School. McKnight played two seasons at Sacred Heart, where he was named to the First Team All-Northeast Conference, before transferring to Seton Hall. Bashir Mason
Bashir Mason (born February 11, 1984) is an American college basketball coach and current head men's basketball coach at Saint Peter's University. He was previously an assistant coach at Marist College in 2008, and an assistant coach at Wagner College in 2010. Mason played high school basketball St. Benedict's Preparatory School, then joined then head coach Bruiser Flint to play college basketball at Drexel University. He was a four-year starter for the Dragons, scoring over 1,000 points and handing out 471 assists as a point guard. He was a CAA all-defensive player every season, as well as the CAA's defensive player of the year as a freshman. Mason was hired by Wagner, in March 2012, as their 18th men's head basketball coach. Braica was born in Brooklyn, New York and is an alumnus of Bishop Ford High School and Queens College. Andrew Toole (born September 11, 1980) is an American basketball head coach from Staten Island, New York. He has served as the head coach at Robert Morris University since May 11, 2010 and is currently the 6th youngest head coach in Division I basketball. The VCU Rams men's basketball team is the intercollegiate men's basketball team that represents Virginia Commonwealth University. Jamion Christian (born April 18, 1982) is an American college basketball coach, who was most recently the head coach of the George Washington Colonials men's basketball team.
