The 2016–17 NBB Cup ( nl, 2016–17 NBB-Beker) was the 49th edition of the Netherlands' national basketball cup tournament. Donar (basketball club), Donar won its fifth national cup title. Format In the first, second and third round teams from the Dutch second, third and fourth division participate. From the fourth round, teams from the Dutch Basketball League (DBL) enter the competition. Quarter- and semi-finals are played in a two-legged format. Aris Leeuwarden
Aris Leeuwarden is a Dutch professional basketball club based in Leeuwarden. The club competes in the BNXT League, and has competed at the highest national level since 2004. Nick Oudendag (born 23 April 1987) is a Dutch former basketball player. Standing at , he played as center. During his career, Oudendag was a member of the Netherlands national team. Sean Kingsley Cunningham (born December 20, 1986) is an American-Dutch professional basketball player. Cunningham usually plays the point guard or shooting guard position. He is a former member of the Dutch national basketball team. Chase Fieler (born June 10, 1992) is an American basketball player for the Saga Ballooners of the Japanese B.League. Fieler usually plays at the power forward position. Lance Lamar Jeter (born July 18, 1988) is an American professional basketball player. He plays point guard and occasionally shooting guard position. Basketball Stars Weert, commonly known as BSW, was a professional basketball team based in Weert, Netherlands. The club was founded in 1968 and played in the Dutch Basketball League. Home games of the team are played in the Sporthal Boshoven. The club was a regular participant in the Dutch top division, as the side from Weert appeared in the Eredivisie (later DBL) for 34 straight seasons. The highlight of the club was the national championship in the 1993–94 season. The club finished three times as runner-up in the DBL: in 1988, 1993 and 2001.
