2015–16 NBB Cup
The 2015–16 NBB Cup was the 48th edition of the Netherlands national basketball cup tournament. SPM Shoeters Den Bosch won its 7th national cup title after beating ZZ Leiden in the Final. The Final was played on 27 March 2016 in the Landstede Sportcentrum in Zwolle Zwolle () is a city and municipality in the Northeastern Netherlands. The Final was played in the Landstede Sportcentrum in Zwolle on 29 March 2015. Donar defeated SPM Shoeters Den Bosch 70–78 in the championship game. BSW Weert
Basketball Stars Weert, commonly known as BSW, was a professional basketball team based in Weert, Netherlands. The club was founded in 1968 and played in the Dutch Basketball League. Home games of the team are played in the Sporthal Boshoven. The club was a regular participant in the Dutch top division, as the side from Weert appeared in the Eredivisie (later DBL) for 34 straight seasons. The highlight of the club was the national championship in the 1993–94 season. The club finished three times as runner-up in the DBL: in 1988, 1993 and 2001. As well, BSW made European appearances with the most notable being the one in the FIBA European Cup Winners' Cup, the highest European level, in 1994–95. In 2017 the club was dissolved after financial problems and the inability to gain enough money to participate. However, the club was replaced by BAL from Weert. Stefan Wessels (born 13 April 1984) is a Dutch retired basketball player. He is the current General Manager of Heroes Den Bosch. In his playing career, Wessels has played for ABC Amsterdam and Heroes Den Bosch. Wessels also presented the Dutch national basketball team on various tournaments. Professional career Wessels started his professional career in 2004, with the Amsterdam Astronauts of the Dutch top-tier Eredivisie. He was a member of the 2005, 2008 and 2009 championship teams. Rogier Jansen
Rogier Jansen (born 29 August 1984) is a Dutch retired basketball player and current coach. Jansen has represented the Dutch national basketball team multiple times. Professional career On 2 July 2003 Jansen signed with Hanzevast Capitals - or Donar - from Groningen. In the 2003–04 season Jansen won the Dutch national championship with the team. In 2005, he got his first NBB Cup. In the 2005–06 season Jansen played for BC Omniworld in Almere. Jansen returned to Groningen in 2007. After two seasons with the Capitals, he signed with EiffelTowers Den Bosch. In the 2011–12 season Jansen won the Dutch Basketball League with Den Bosch. It was his second national championship. Thomas Koenis
Thomas Petrus A. Koenis (born 11 December 1989) is a Dutch retired basketball player. Standing at 2.10 m (6 ft 11 in), he played at the center position. He started his career with the Den Helder Seals in 2007, before signing with West-Brabant Giants in 2009. After two seasons for the Giants, Koenis signed with Donar. In 2015, he signed with ZZ Leiden where he stayed for two seasons before returning to Donar. Koenis played 15 season of professional basketball, with nine of them being with Donar. Worthy Donovan Rafael de Jong (born 14 March 1988) is a Dutch 3x3 basketball player and former professional 5x5 player. Standing at 6 ft 4.3 in (1.94 m), De Jong plays the shooting guard or the small forward position. He played 13 seasons as a professional player in the Netherlands, of which 11 were with ZZ Leiden.
