2016 South Korean Figure Skating Championships
The 2016 South Korean Figure Skating Championships ( ko, 제70회 전국 남녀 피겨스케이팅 종합선수권대회) were held at the Mokdong Ice Rink in Seoul from January 8–10, 2016. Organized by the Korean Skating Union, it was the 70th edition of the event. Skaters competed in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, and pair skating on the senior, junior levels, and ice dancing on the senior levels for the title of national champion of South Korea. The results of the national championships were used to choose the Korean teams to the 2016 World Championships and 2016 World Junior Championships. Lim Eun-soo
Lim Eun-soo (Hangul: 임은수; born February 26, 2003) is a South Korean figure skater. She is the 2018 Rostelecom Cup bronze medalist, the two-time CS Asian Open champion (2018, 2019), the 2018 CS U.S. Classic silver medalist, and the 2017 South Korean national champion. She has finished within the top ten at three senior ISU Championships. Earlier in her career, Lim won two medals on the ISU Junior Grand Prix series (bronze at the 2016 JGP Germany and silver at the 2017 JGP Austria). She has finished within the top five at the World Junior Championships for two consecutive years (2017, 2018). Park Sung-hoon (; born December 8, 2002), known mononymously as Sunghoon, is a South Korean singer, former presenter and former figure skater. He competed as a figure skater from 2010 to early 2020; while simultaneously being a Bighit Music trainee since 2018, later transferring to Belift Lab. He retired from the sport and debuted as a member of the South Korean boy band Enhypen in November 2020. He is bronze medalist of 2018 CS Asian Open Trophy, and competed in the free skate at two Four Continents Championships (2015, 2016). The free skating segment of figure skating, also called the free skate and the long program, is the second of two segments of competitions, skated after the short program.
