2016 Italian Basketball Supercup
The 2016 Italian Basketball Supercup ( it, Supercoppa di pallacanestro 2016) was the 22nd edition of the super cup tournament, organized by the Lega Basket Serie A. It was also called Macron Supercoppa 2016 for sponsorship reasons. It was played in the Mediolanum Forum in Milan on 24 and 25 September. EA7 Emporio Armani Milano won its first title after beating Vanoli Cremona in the semifinal and Sidigas Avellino in the final. Participant teams Qualified for the tournament were EA7 Emporio Armani Milano, Sidigas Avellino, Grissin Bon Reggio Emilia and Vanoli Cremona. Paul Biligha
Paul Stephane Lionel Biligha (born 31 May 1990) is an Cameroonian-Italian professional basketball player for Olimpia Milano of the Italian Lega Basket Serie A (LBA) and the EuroLeague. Standing at 2.00 m (6 ft. 7 in.), he plays at the center position. Professional career Biligha was born in Perugia, Italy in 1990 into a family of Italian and Cameroonian heritage. He started playing in Cameroon where he lived from the age of 8 to 16. Elston Howard Turner Sr. (born June 10, 1959) is an American former professional basketball player who currently works as an assistant coach for the Minnesota Timberwolves of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Playing career A 6'5" (1.96 m) shooting guard–small forward from the University of Mississippi, leading Ole Miss to its first ever NCAA Tournament in his senior year, Turner was selected in the second round (43rd overall) of the 1981 NBA draft by the Dallas Mavericks, and went on to play in eight NBA seasons from 1981 to 1989, for the Mavericks, Denver Nuggets and the Chicago Bulls. Mantas Kalnietis (born 6 September 1986) is a Lithuanian former professional basketball player who last played for BC Žalgiris, Žalgiris Kaunas of the Lietuvos krepšinio lyga, Lithuanian Basketball League (LKL) and the EuroLeague. Davide Pascolo (born 14 December 1990) is an Italian professional basketball player for Assigeco Piacenza of the Italian Serie A2, second tier national league, on a loan contract from Aquila Basket Trento. Pallacanestro Olimpia Milano, commonly known as Olimpia Milano or as EA7 Emporio Armani Milan after its title sponsor, is an LBA Italian professional basketball team, based in Milan, Italy. Its colors are white and red, and the team is sometimes referred as "Scarpette Rosse" (Little Red Shoes) because team officials imported red Converse All-Star shoes for players from the United States. A power forward formerly at the University of Oregon, he averaged 9.9 points per game and 7.0 rebounds per game in his college career.
