2016 Dubai Duty Free Darts Masters
The 2016 Dubai Duty Free Darts Masters was the fourth staging of the tournament organised by the Professional Darts Corporation. It was the first World Series of Darts event of 2016. The tournament featured eight of the top 10 players according to the PDC Order of Merit, competing in a knockout system. The tournament was held at the Dubai Tennis Centre in Dubai over 26–27 May 2016. Gary Anderson won the title after he beat previously undefeated three-time champion Michael van Gerwen 11–9 in the final. Prize money The total prize fund was AED750,000. Qualifiers The eight players who qualified for this tournament are the same as last year's tournament, with the exception of Dave Chisnall replacing Stephen Bunting. Raymond Van Barneveld
Raymond van Barneveld (born 20 April 1967) is a Dutch professional darts player. Nicknamed Barney, although originally known as The Man, he is one of the most successful darts players in history. Van Barneveld is a five-time World Darts Champion (four-time BDO and one-time PDC), a two-time UK Open Champion and a former winner of the Las Vegas Desert Classic, the Grand Slam of Darts and the Premier League. He is also a twice-winner of the World Masters and the World Darts Trophy, and a three-time winner of the International Darts League and the WDF World Cup Singles event. Sky Sport is a group of sports-oriented television channels operated by New Zealand's satellite pay-TV company, Sky. History Sky Sport 1 is the original Sky Television sport channel in New Zealand.
