The 2015–16 season is Maccabi Tel Aviv's 110th season since its establishment in 1906, and 68th since the establishment of the State of Israel. During the 2015–16 campaign the club have competed in the Israeli Premier League, State Cup, Toto Cup, Israel Super Cup UEFA Champions League. Yuval Spungin (or Yuval Shpungin, he, יובל שפונגין; born 3 April 1987) is an Israeli footballer who plays for Hapoel Kfar Shalem F.C., Hapoel Kfar Shalem. Elazar "Eli" Dasa (or Eliezer, he, אלי דסה; born 3 December 1992) is an Israeli professional footballer who plays as a right-back for Russian club Dynamo Moscow and vice-captains the Israel national team. Daniel Lifshitz ( he, דניאל ליפשיץ, born 24 April 1988) is an Israeli former footballer. Biography Lifshitz was born in Gothenburg, Sweden. His father was from kibbutz Nir Oz. His mother was a Swedish woman who had met his father in Israel. He moved to Israel as a child with his family, and grew up on Nir Oz. On 7 October 2023, his grandparents, Oded and Yocheved, were kidnapped to the Gaza Strip by Hamas during the 2023 Hamas attack on Israel. The 2015–16 UEFA Champions League was the 61st season of Europe's premier club football tournament organised by UEFA, and the 24th season since it was renamed from the European Champion Clubs' Cup to the UEFA Champions League. The 2015–16 season was the 68th season of competitive football in Israel, and the 90th season under the Israeli Football Association, established in 1928, during the British Mandate. The season saw Hapoel Be'er Sheva winning league, its first championship title since 1976 and Maccabi Haifa winning its first Israel State Cup in 18 years. In women's football, F.C.
