2015–16 Emporia State Lady Hornets Basketball Team
The 2015–16 Emporia State Lady Hornets basketball team represented Emporia State University in the 2015–16 NCAA Division II women's basketball season, which was the 42nd Lady Hornets basketball season. The Lady Hornets were led by 6th year head coach, Jory Collins. The team played its home games on Slaymaker Court at William L. White Auditorium in Emporia, Kansas, its home court since 1974. Emporia State is a member of the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association. Preseason outlook The Lady Hornets were chosen as the favorite to win in the D-II Bulletin Preseason National Poll that was released on October 5, 2015. Jory Collins
Jory Michael Collins (born October 14, 1978) is an American women's college basketball coach currently serving as the head coach for the North Dakota State program. From 2010 until 2018, Collins was the head coach at Emporia State University. Collins led the Emporia State Lady Hornets to eight consecutive winning seasons. Collins is the second winningest coach in Emporia State history with a record of . Allen Fieldhouse
Allen Fieldhouse is an indoor arena on the University of Kansas campus in Lawrence, Kansas. It is home of the Kansas Jayhawks men's and women's basketball teams. The arena is named after Phog Allen, a former player and head coach for the Jayhawks whose tenure lasted 39 years. The arena's nickname, The Phog also pays homage to Allen. The 2015–16 Kansas Jayhawks women's basketball team represented the University of Kansas in the 2015–16 NCAA Division I women's basketball season. KFFX (104.9 FM) is a radio station broadcasting a hot adult contemporary music format, broadcasting as "Mix 104.9 FM". The station is located in Emporia, Kansas, where it is also licensed. KFFX is owned by Emporia's Radio Stations, Inc. History KFFX signed on the air in June 1966 as the FM companion to KVOE (AM). Until the early 1970s KVOE-FM would simulcast most of its programming with the AM. Holton is a city in and the county seat of Jackson County, Kansas, United States. As of the 2020 census, the population of the city was 3,401. History The party that chose the site of Holton started at Milwaukee, Wisconsin, in May 1856. A train of six covered wagons, each drawn by two yoke of oxen, started the long trek to take Free State settlers to Kansas. History Olpe had its start in the year 1879 by the building of the railroad through that territory.
