2015 TCR International Series Red Bull Ring Round
The 2015 TCR International Series Red Bull Ring round was the eighth round of the 2015 TCR International Series season. It took place on 12 July at the Red Bull Ring. This round was to be held at Autódromo Juan y Oscar Gálvez on 26 July, but it was later moved due to organisational problems. Stefano Comini won the first race, starting from fourth position, driving a SEAT León Cup Racer, and Pol Rosell gained the second one, driving a Volkswagen Golf TCR. Success Ballast Due to the results obtained in the previous round, Jordi Gené received +30 kg, Pepe Oriola +20 kg and Stefano Comini +10 kg. The Red Bull Ring is a motorsport race track in Spielberg, Styria, Austria. The race circuit was founded as Österreichring (translation: Austrian Circuit) and hosted the Austrian Grand Prix for 18 consecutive years, from to . It was later shortened, rebuilt and renamed the A1-Ring (A Eins-Ring), and it hosted the Austrian Grand Prix again from to . When Formula One outgrew the circuit, a plan was drawn up to extend the layout. Proteam Motorsport is an Italian auto racing team based in Arezzo that was set up by former driver Valmiro Presenzini in 1997. They are best known for their efforts in the FIA World Touring Car Championship. Their time in the WTCC has seen them become the most successful independent team in the championship, winning three Independent Team titles in 1996, 2007 and 2008. Michela Cerruti (born 18 February 1987) is an Italian racing driver, currently competing in the TCR International Series, with Mulsanne Racing. Dániel Nagy (born 9 April 1998) is a Hungarian racing driver currently competing in the World Touring Car Championship for Zengő Motorsport.
