2015 TCR International Series Red Bull Ring Round
The 2015 TCR International Series Red Bull Ring round was the eighth round of the 2015 TCR International Series season. It took place on 12 July at the Red Bull Ring. This round was to be held at Autódromo Juan y Oscar Gálvez on 26 July, but it was later moved due to organisational problems. Stefano Comini won the first race, starting from fourth position, driving a SEAT León Cup Racer, and Pol Rosell gained the second one, driving a Volkswagen Golf TCR. Success Ballast Due to the results obtained in the previous round, Jordi Gené received +30 kg, Pepe Oriola +20 kg and Stefano Comini +10 kg. Red Bull Ring
The Red Bull Ring is a motorsport race track in Spielberg, Styria, Austria. The race circuit was founded as Österreichring (translation: Austrian Circuit) and hosted the Austrian Grand Prix for 18 consecutive years, from to . It was later shortened, rebuilt and renamed the A1-Ring (A Eins-Ring), and it hosted the Austrian Grand Prix again from to . When Formula One outgrew the circuit, a plan was drawn up to extend the layout. Parts of the circuit, including the pits and main grandstand, were demolished, but construction work was stopped and the circuit remained unusable for several years before it was purchased by Red Bull's Dietrich Mateschitz and rebuilt. Volkswagen Golf Mk7
The Volkswagen Golf (Mk7) is a small family car (C-segment) produced by German automobile manufacturer Volkswagen, as the seventh generation of the Golf and the successor to the Golf Mk6. Proteam Racing
Proteam Motorsport is an Italian auto racing team based in Arezzo that was set up by former driver Valmiro Presenzini in 1997. They are best known for their efforts in the FIA World Touring Car Championship. Their time in the WTCC has seen them become the most successful independent team in the championship, winning three Independent Team titles in 1996, 2007 and 2008. The Ford Focus (third generation), also known as the Focus Mk III, (Code name: C346) debuted at the 2010 North American International Auto Show as a 2012 model. The cars shown were a 4-door sedan and 5-door hatchback, also debuting a new 2.0-litre direct injection I4 engine. A 5-door estate (wagon) was previewed at the Geneva auto show a month later. Diego Romanini (born 30 December 1978 in Pietrasanta) is an Italian auto racing driver. He has competed in the World Touring Car Championship and was the Austria Formula 3 Cup champion in 2001 and 2003. Career After starting his career in karting, he first started circuit racing in 1998 with Italian Formula Renault, before racing in the Italian Formula Campus Series. Michela Cerruti (born 18 February 1987) is an Italian racing driver, currently competing in the TCR International Series, with Mulsanne Racing. Career Born in Rome, Cerruti attended the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan, studying Psychology. Cerruti's racing career began after her father Aldo 'Baronio' Cerruti, also a racing driver, decided to enrol her in a safe driving course with Mario Ferraris, son of Romeo Ferraris, a race-car tuner and constructor. Lorenzo Veglia (born 7 October 1996) is an Italian racing driver currently competing in the Italian GT Championship. He made his debut in 2015. Igor Vasylyovych Skuz ( ukr, Ігор Васильович Скуз, born 30 May 1976) is a Ukrainian professional racing driver currently competing in the Ukrainian Touring Championship since 2007 for a family-owned MasterKart Racing Team, that also has a role of main promoter of the series since 2018. He made his debut in 2015, having previously raced in the European Touring Car Cup. Racing career Grachev began his career Karting in 2008. Zengő Motorsport is a Hungarian motor racing team founded by Zoltán Zengő. They currently compete in the World Touring Car Cup and others TCR championships. The team also used to compete in the SEAT León Eurocup, where they won driver's titles in both 2009 and 2010, respectively. Dániel Nagy (born 9 April 1998) is a Hungarian racing driver currently competing in the World Touring Car Championship for Zengő Motorsport. He previously competed in the TCR International Series and the Hungarian Suzuki Swift Cup, where he won the title in 2013 and 2015 while still a teenager.
