2015 BDO World Trophy
The 2015 Winmau BDO World Trophy is a major darts tournament run by the British Darts Organisation, hosted between 26 February – 1 March 2015 at Event City, Manchester. This event organized by the BDO Events – the new commercial arm of the British Darts Organisation. Scott Waites
Scott Waites (born 17 February 1977) is an English professional darts player who plays in tournaments of the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC). He is a two-time BDO World Darts Champion having won the 2013 tournament and 2016 tournament. He is also a former Winmau World Masters champion, WDF World Cup singles' champion, Zuiderduin Masters champion. He also won the 2010 Grand Slam of Darts, becoming the only BDO representative to win the event. Career Waites' first career success came in February 2007 when he won the Dutch Open an event which attracted 2867 entries. He also took the Welsh Masters title in March 2007 and earlier reached the final of the 2007 Scottish Open. Willem Mandigers
Willem Mandigers (born 4 June 1989) is a Dutch professional darts player who competes in World Darts Federation events. Career Mandigers won the Turkish Open in 2014. At the 2014 World Masters he lost to Robbie Green in the first round 3–1. He qualified for the 2015 BDO World Darts Championship through the WDF regional qualifiers, he played Daniel Larsson in the Preliminary round and lost 3–1 in sets. He lost to Martin Phillips in the first round of the 2015 BDO World Trophy 6–3. At the 2015 World Masters he lost to Mark McGeeney in the first round 3–0. He qualified for the 2016 BDO World Darts Championship and lost to eventual champion Scott Waites in the first round. He was defeated by Krzysztof Ratajski in the preliminary round in 2017, but after a good season in which Mandigers once again won a tournament in Turkey, he won his first game at Lakeside in 2018 with a 3-0 win over Nick Kenny to reach the last 16. Eddy Sims
Eddy "Eddy" Sims (born 2 December 1971 in Geelong) is a former professional Australian darts player Career Sims began playing in WDF ranked events in 2006, mainly playing in events based in his homeland. He reached the quarter-finals of the Pacific Masters in 2006 and 2007 and followed it up by reaching the final of the 2007 Australian Masters where he lost to Simon Whitlock. Sims made three ranked semi final appearances in 2008, in the Pacific Masters, Malaysian Open and the New Zealand Masters. He had earlier reached the semi-finals of the Central Coast Australian Classic, an unranked event. Sims then won the 2008 Australian Masters, defeating Adam Bainbridge 8–1 in the final. His good performances in 2008 earned Sims automatic qualification for the 2009 BDO World Darts Championship, entering as the number 16 seed. Jeff Smith (darts Player)
Jeff Smith (born 6 November 1975) is a Canadian professional darts player who plays in the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events. He reached the semi-final of the 2015 BDO World Darts Championship and the final of the 2016 BDO World Darts Championship in the following year where he faced Scott Waites. Career In his first tournament, Smith reached the semi-final of the Canada National Championships in 1996. He won the tournament in 2008 beating Jeff Noble. Smith entered the Professional Darts Corporation Q School in January 2011. He won a PDC tour card on the third and final day by defeating Ross Smith 6–2 in his final match. Ted Hankey
Edward Hankey (born 20 February 1968) is an English former professional darts player and convicted sex offender. Nicknamed "The Count", he won the BDO World Darts Championship in 2000, was runner-up in 2001, and won the title for a second time in 2009. He moved to the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) tour in 2012, but suffered a stroke while playing Michael van Gerwen at the 2012 Grand Slam of Darts, and took three months away from the sport to recuperate. He lost his PDC tour card in 2014, when he was 94th in the world rankings, and returned to the BDO, where he failed to impress in the latter years of his playing career. In 2016, he made his last appearance in the BDO World Darts Championship, exiting after a 0–3 first-round defeat. Hankey struggled financially in his later career and was declared bankrupt in 2018. David Cameron (darts Player)
David Cameron (born 15 September 1969) is a Canadian professional darts player, who mainly competes in the World Darts Federation tournaments. He is the first and сurrent 2022 World Seniors Darts Masters champion and triple Canadian champion. Career Cameron has appeared at the BDO World Darts Championship six times, but hasn't got past the first round in his first five appearances, his only win coming against Jimmy Hendriks in 2017. In 2019 he reached the second round for the first time. He has also entered both editions of the PDC US Darts Masters in Las Vegas, qualifying both times. However, he hasn't won a stage match in the four events that this achievement entails. Madars Razma (born 26 September 1988) is a Latvian professional darts player nicknamed Latvian Razmatazz who plays in Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events. He won the Latvia National Championships in 2010, 2012, 2014, 2015, and 2016. Career In 2013, Razma qualified for the last 32 of the World Masters (losing 0–3 to Geert De Vos). Rick Hofstra
Rick Hofstra (born 21 April 1977) is a former Dutch professional darts player. Career Hofstra reached the quarter finals of the 2001 Belgium Open and the 2002 Swiss Open before making his major debut in the 2003 International Darts League, where he beat Scotland's Bob Taylor in his opening group game before losing to Raymond van Barneveld. Hofstra then beat Co Stompé to qualify for the second group stage where he lost all three group games to Andy Fordham, Tony David and Jarkko Komula. Pip Blackwell
Philip 'Pip' Blackwell (born 27 November 1974) is an English former professional darts player who plays in British Darts Organisation tournaments. Career Pip Blackwell started to play darts when he was 11. He joined the BDO Circuit in 2007 but had to wait for his first successes till 2014 when he four times reached the finals of BDO events the Muensterland Classic losing to Scott Mitchell, BDO Gold Cup losing to Wayne Warren, British Classic and the Swedish Open losing both to Alan Norris. He took part in the Winmau World Masters 2014 where he lost in the last eight to Jamie Hughes by 1-3. Jeffrey De Graaf
Jeffrey de Graaf (born 21 November 1990) is a Dutch darts player. He has played in six World Championships (four BDO and two PDC) but has lost in the first round each time. He moved from the BDO to the PDC in 2016. Career BDO In 2012, De Graaf began playing the international circuit and won the 2012 Isle of Man Open and 2012 Romanian Open. He reached also the quarter-finals of the Zuiderduin Masters. De Graaf managed to qualify for the 2013 BDO World Championship, where he faced compatriot Jan Dekker in the first round.
