2014–15 Ethiopian Premier League
The 2014–15 Ethiopian Premier League is the 69th season of top-tier football in Ethiopia. The season began play on 25 October 2014. Saint George SC are the defending champions, having won their 23rd championship. The league comprises 14 teams, the bottom two of which will be relegated to the National League for 2015–16. Teams A total of 14 teams will contest the league, including 12 sides from the 2013–14 season and two promoted from the National League. The two newcomers are Welayta Dicha and Dashen Beer FC. Weha Serawoch and Adama City F.C. were the last two teams of the 2013–14 season and play in the National League for the 2014–15 season. Saint George SC are the defending champions from the 2013–14 season. The Ethiopian Premier League ( Amharic:የኢትዮጵያ ፕሪምየር ሊግ), known as the BetKing Ethiopian Premier League for sponsorship reasons, is the top tier association football league of Ethiopia run by the Ethiopian Premier League Share Company (formerly the Ethiopian Football Federation from 1997 to 2020). Established in 1997 (1990 E.C.), it replaced the former first division (est. 1944). Contested by sixteen clubs, it operates on a system of promotion and relegation with the other secondary and tertiary leagues in Ethiopia. The league has been an annual competition since the 1997–98 season with Saint George S.C. emerging as the country's leading club in this era with 15 titles (30 first division titles overall). Welayta Dicha
Wolaita Dicha Sport Club (Amharic: ወላይታ ድቻ ስፖርት ክለብ) is a professional football club based in Sodo, Ethiopia. They play in the Ethiopian Premier League, the top division of Ethiopian football. History Establishment The club was established in 2009 by the Welayta Development Association. The club is partly funded by local government. They are the champions of the 2017 Ethiopian Cup. Sidama Coffee Sport Club (Amharic: ሲዳማ ቡና ስፖርት ክለብ, Sidama Buna Sport Club), also known as Dara kenema, is a professional football Club based in Sidama Municipality of Ethiopia.
