2014 Stock Car Brasil Season
The 2014 Circuito Nova Schin Stock Car Brasil season was the thirty-sixth season of the Stock Car Brasil. Teams and drivers Team changes *Stock Car Brasil driver Júlio Campos and businessman Edson Casagrande purchased the vacancies of Gramacho team and created a new team called the C2 Team. The team also switched manufacturers from Peugeot to Chevrolet. *Shell Racing return to Chevrolet after two seasons with Peugeot. *After ten season of partnership, Officer group and ProGP break up. Duda Pamplona owner of ProGP still in the series and Officer group left the championship. *Ricardo Zonta's team RZ Motorsport lost the BMC Group as its principal sponsor and returned to its official name in 2014. Stock Car Pro Series, formerly known as Stock Car Brasil, is a touring car auto racing series based in Brazil organized by Vicar. It is considered the major Brazilian and South American motorsports series. Starting in 1979 with Chevrolet as the only constructor, the series has also seen other constructors joining in and leaving such as Mitsubishi, Peugeot and Volkswagen, currently the only other beside Chevrolet is Toyota. The series is composed by 12 rounds, with the most important race, the Corrida do Milhão (English: ''The'' ''Million Race'') being worth double points and has a prize pool of R$1 million. Luciano Pucci Burti (born 5 March 1975) is a Brazilian racing driver who briefly raced in Formula One. He is now a commentator for TV Globo. Early career Burti's early career saw him graduate through the usual channels and he found himself in British Formula 3 driving for the crack Stewart Racing team. In his second season of F3 in 1999 he finished runner-up to Marc Hynes, but it was third-placed Jenson Button who would go on to achieve stardom in Formula One. Gabriel Casagrande (born 12 November 1994) is a Brazilian racing driver. He competes full-time in the Stock Car Pro Series, driving the No. 83 Chevrolet Cruze for A. Mattheis Vogel Motorsport. He is the reigning champion of the Brazilian Stock Car championship, having won his first title in 2021. Diego Nunes (born July 12, 1986 in Curitiba) is a Brazilian racing driver. Career Formula Renault Nunes began his car racing career by driving full-time in the Formula Renault 2.0 Brazil championship in 2003 and 2004, having competed in selected events in 2002. With a best result of ninth in the drivers' championship in 2004, Nunes moved on to concentrate on different motorsport series from 2005, but still returned to Brazilian FRenault for the occasional race in that year and the next. Squadra G-Force (formerly known as C2 Team) was a Brazilian motor racing team based in Curitiba Paraná that competed in the Stock Car Brasil between 2014 and 2018. The team was formed in 2014 as C2 Team by Edson Casagrande and Júlio Campos Júlio Campos (born January 15, 1982, in Curitiba) is a Brazilian auto racing driver.
