2014 Pittsburgh Power Season
The Pittsburgh Power season was the fourth season for the franchise in the Arena Football League. They played their home games at the Consol Energy Center. The 2014 season marked the franchise's first-ever winning season, after the Power victory over the Philadelphia Soul, 57-56, on June 14. A week later on June 20, the Power clinched their first-ever playoff berth with a 57–27 win over the Iowa Barnstormers. The Power finished the regular season 15–3, but lost in their first-ever playoff game to the Orlando Predators in the conference semifinals by a 56–48 score. The team had been coached by Derek Stingley, however he was fired after a 63–53 loss to the Cleveland Gladiators in the team's first game of the season. Derek Stingley
Derek Stingley Jr. (born June 20, 2001) is an American football cornerback for the Houston Texans of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at LSU and was selected third overall by the Texans in the 2022 NFL Draft. Early years Stingley Jr. attended The Dunham School in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. During his high school career he had 27 career interceptions. As a senior, he was named the Louisiana Gatorade Football Player of the Year. Stingley Jr. was rated as a five-star recruit and was ranked as the top overall player in his class by Rivals.com. He committed to Louisiana State University (LSU) to play college football. The San Antonio Talons season was the 14th season for the franchise, the fifth in the Arena Football League, and the third in San Antonio, Texas. The team was coached by Lee Johnson and played their home games at the Alamodome. Finishing the regular season with a 3–15 record, this was the worst season in franchise history. Addition Financial Arena (formerly known as CFE Arena and UCF Arena) is a sports and entertainment arena located in Orlando, Florida, United States, on the main campus of the University of Central Florida.
