2014 PSA Annual Awards
The 2015 PSA Annual Awards is an accolade organized by the Philippine Sportswriters Association, the oldest media organization based in the Philippines, helmed by the president Jun Lumibao of Business Mirror, in cooperation with the Philippine Sports Commission, Smart Communications, San Miguel Corporation, Milo, MVP Sports Foundation and Meralco. The awards will be given to the Philippine sportsmen who recognize their achievements in 2014. Known as the "Oscars" of Philippine sports, the awards proper was held at the One Esplanade, Mall of Asia Complex, Pasay on February 16, 2015. Veteran sportscasters Quinito Henson and Patricia Bermudez-Hizon will be served as the emcees of the formal program. PSC Chairman Richie Garcia was invited to become a guest of honor in the said event, Philippine Olympic Committee chairman Peping Cojuangco is also part of the honorable guests. BMX Racing
BMX racing is a type of off-road bicycle racing. The format of BMX was derived from motocross racing. BMX bicycle racing, races are sprint races on purpose-built off-road single-lap race tracks. The track usually consists of a starting gate for up to eight racers, a groomed, serpentine, dirt race course made of various jumps and rollers and a finish line. The course is usually about wide and has large banked corners, which are angled inward, that help the riders maintain speed. The sport of BMX racing is facilitated by a number of regional and international sanctioning bodies. They provide rules for sanctioning the conduct of the flying, specify age group and skill-level classifications among the racers, and maintain some kind of points-accumulation system over the racing season. The Magnolia Chicken Timplados Hotshots, or simply known as the Magnolia Hotshots, are a professional basketball team in the Philippine Basketball Association. The team is owned by San Miguel Food and Beverage, Inc., a subsidiary of San Miguel Corporation (SMC). The team is one of three PBA ball clubs currently owned by the SMC group of companies, along with Barangay Ginebra San Miguel and the San Miguel Beermen. Earl Timothy Cone (born December 14, 1957) is an American professional basketball coach who is the head coach of Barangay Ginebra San Miguel in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). Manuel Velez Pangilinan, (born July 14, 1946), also known by his initials MVP, is a Filipino businessman and sports patron. He is the managing director and CEO of First Pacific Company Limited, a Hong Kong-based investment management and holding company with operations in the Asia-Pacific region. Tennis is a racket sport that is played either individually against a single opponent ( singles) or between two teams of two players each ( doubles). Each player uses a tennis racket that is strung with cord to strike a hollow rubber ball covered with felt over or around a net and into the opponent's court. The object of the game is to manoeuvre the ball in such a way that the opponent is not able to play a valid return. The player who is unable to return the ball validly will not gain a point, while the opposite player will. Tennis is an Olympic sport and is played at all levels of society and at all ages. Juan Cutillas
Juan Cutillas España is a retired Spanish professional footballer and manager. He is a former manager of the Philippines national football team. Education Cutillas studied medicine against the wishes of his father who had wanted him to enter law school. After finishing medical school, Cutillas became a doctor and practiced medicine for four years. He later took football coaching courses. Football career Club Cutillas played for the youth team of Atletico de Madrid. When called up to join the first team, he was forced to decline the offer because he was engaged in compulsory military service at the time. Manny Paner
Manuel Paner (born May 17, 1949), better known as Manny Paner, is a Filipino retired professional basketball player. Player profile Paner was born in Cebu City, Philippines. During his prime, he was known for his strong rebounding, defense and deadly hook shot. At a mere 6'2", he would play center and sometimes defend the opposing team's American imports. During the late 1960s and early 1970s, Paner played for the San Miguel Braves in the MICAA, along with other Cebuano cagers Rosalio Martirez and Alejandrito Miego, to a name of few. William "Bogs" Adornado (born May 26, 1951) is a Filipino former basketball player and coach. He is one of the Philippine Basketball Association's Greatest Players and was inducted to its Hall of Fame in 2005. Robert Vincent Salazar Jaworski Sr. (; born March 8, 1946) is a Filipino former professional basketball player, head coach and politician who served as a Senator of the Philippines from 1998 to 2004.
