2014 LionsXII Season
The 2014 season is LionsXII's third in the Malaysia Super League. After winning the 2013 Malaysia Super League title, head coach V. Sundramoorthy left for Malaysia Premier League side Negeri Sembilan at the end of the previous season. Singapore legend and former Singapore Lions teammate Fandi Ahmad was appointed as the new head coach on 7 December 2013 with another ex-teammate Nazri Nasir joining him as his assistant on 16 December. On the playing front, the Lions lost the services of key players midfielder Hariss Harun, defender Baihakki Khaizan, club captain and top-scorer Shahril Ishak to rival Super League clubs. Khairul Amri ( Tampines Rovers) and Sufian Anuar (Warriors) were signed to booster the depleted squad while midfielder Isa Halim was appointed the new LionsXII captain. Nazri Nasir
Nazri Nasir (born 17 January 1971) is a Singaporean professional football manager and former footballer. He was the captain of the Singapore national team from 1997 to 2003, and led the team to the 1998 AFF Championship title. He was a defensive midfielder known for his "combative, hard-running and ferocious tackling style". Club career Nazri began his career with Jurong Town in Singapore's FAS Premier League in 1988. where he won the President's Cup in 1988 and 1989. Along with Rafi Ali and Sanizal Jamil, he was sent for a two-month training stint with Czech club FC Nitra under the Goh Chok Tong Talent Scheme in 1990. Perserikatan Paguyuban Sepakbola Magelang or PPSM ''( en: Magelang Football Union Association)'' is an Indonesian football club based in Magelang, Central Java. Manahan Stadium
Manahan Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Surakarta, Central Java, Indonesia. Manahan is the first stadium in Indonesia which hosts the biggest disabled sporting event in Southeast Asia, the 2011 ASEAN Para Games. The stadium was opened on 21 February 1998. Ignatius Ang
Ignatius Ang Yu Heng (born 11 November 1992) is a Singaporean footballer who plays as a midfielder for Balestier Khalsa in the S.League. ITE College Central (ITECC) is a post-secondary education institution and statutory board under the purview of the Ministry of Education in Singapore. Young Lions Football Club, commonly known as Young Lions, is a Singaporean developmental football club that competes in the Singapore Premier League. The team is under the direct control of the Football Association of Singapore. Isa Halim
Mohammad Isa bin Abdul Halim (born 15 May 1986) is a former Singapore international footballer who last played as a defensive-midfielder for Singapore Premier League club Geylang International FC and the Singapore national team. Warriors Football Club is a Singaporean professional football club that played in the Singapore Premier League, the top division of football in Singapore. Before changing their name on 20 January 2013, they were previously known as the Singapore Armed Forces Football Club (SAFFC) since their establishment on 16 February 1996. Muhammad Sufian bin Anuar (born 26 August 1987) is a former Singapore international footballer who played as a forward. Sufian spent most of his career times as the team backup striker role.
