2014 Kerry Senior Football Championship
The 2014 Kerry Senior Football Championship was the 114th staging of the Kerry Senior Football Championship since its establishment by the Kerry County Board in 1889. The championship ran from 24 May to 2 November 2014. Dr. Crokes entered the championship as the defending champions in search of a record-equalling fifth successive title, however, they were beaten by Killarney Legion in round 3. The final was played on 2 November 2014 at FitzGerald Stadium in Killarney, between Austin Stacks and Mid Kerry in what was their second ever meeting in the final. Austin Stacks won the match by 2-13 to 1-07 to claim their 12th championship title overall and a first title in 20 years. Mid Kerry's Gavin O'Grady was the championship's top scorer with 5-28. Finuge GAA
Finuge is a Gaelic Athletic Association club from Finuge, County Kerry, Ireland. They currently compete in the Kerry Intermediate Football Championship. They also form part of the Feale Rangers divisional team that play in the Kerry Senior Football Championship. Many of the players also play hurling with Lixnaw in the Kerry Senior Hurling Championship. Kerins O'Rahilly's are a Gaelic Athletic Association club from Tralee, County Kerry, Republic of Ireland, Ireland. They are based in the Strand Road area of the town. Kilcummin is a Gaelic Athletic Association club from Kilcummin, near Killarney in County Kerry, Ireland. Fitzgerald Stadium ( ga, Staid a' Ghearaltaigh) is the principal GAA stadium in Killarney, Ireland, and is the home championship venue for the Kerry senior football team. The East Kerry Board of the Gaelic Athletic Association caters for 13 Gaelic football clubs and 1 hurling club in the East Kerry division of the GAA county of Kerry. History Early Years The East Kerry Board was founded in 1925 following a decision to sub-divide Kerry into a number of divisions. The first chairman and secretary were football legends Dick Fitzgerald and Paul Russell.
