Braunschweig

Richard Ringer (born 27 February 1989 in Überlingen) is a German athlete specialising in long-distance and cross-country running. He won the bronze medal at the 2013 Summer Universiade, and finished fourth at the 2014 European Championships and fifth at the 2015 European Indoor Championships. 3000 Metres
The 3000 metres or 3000-metre run is a track running event, also commonly known as the "3K" or "3K run", where 7.5 laps are run around an outdoor 400 m track, or 15 laps around a 200 m indoor track. It is debated whether the 3000m should be classified as a middle-distance or long-distance event. In elite-level competition, 3000 m pace is more comparable to the pace found in the longer 5000 metres event, rather than mile pace. The world record performance for 3000 m equates to a pace of 58.76 seconds per 400 m, which is closer to the 60.43 seconds for 5000 m than the 55.46 seconds for the mile. However, the 3000 m does require some anaerobic conditioning, and an elite athlete needs to develop a high tolerance to lactic acid, as does the mile runner. Marcin Przemysław Lewandowski (Polish pronunciation: ; born 13 June 1987) is a Polish professional soldier and middle-distance runner who specializes in the 800 metres and 1500 metres. Homiyu Tesfaye Heyi (born 23 June 1993) is an Ethiopian-Germany, German middle-distance runner, middle- and long-distance runner. After claiming political asylum he began competing for Germany and came fifth in the 1500 metres at the 2013 World Championships in Athletics. He won his first German indoor title in 2012 and claimed his first outdoor title (over 10,000 metres) the following year. A winner of numerous German under-20 and under-23 titles, he was accused of being Henok Tesfaye Heyi (an Ethiopian runner who is three years older) and thus of falsifying his age in competition. Jakub Holuša
Jakub Holuša (, born 20 February 1988) is a former Czech middle-distance runner. He represented his country in the men's 800 meters at the 2008 and 2012 Summer Olympics. At the 2016 Olympics, he competed in the 1500 meters. Running career Holuša first took up athletics in the steeplechase discipline. He made his international debut at the 2005 World Youth Championships in Athletics, where he finished seventh overall in the boys' 2000-meter steeplechase. He gradually switched from training for the steeplechase to focusing on the 800 meters, for which he qualified for the 2008 Summer Olympics. After many years of racing as an 800-meter runner, he broke out in the 1500 meters when he ran a sub-3:40 result in the men's 1500 at the World Indoor Championships. 1500 Metres
The 1500 metres or 1,500-metre run (typically pronounced 'fifteen-hundred metres') is the foremost middle distance track event in athletics. The distance has been contested at the Summer Olympics since 1896 and the World Championships in Athletics since 1983. It is equivalent to 1.5 kilometers or approximately miles. The event is closely associated with its slightly longer cousin, the mile race, from which it derives its nickname "the metric mile". The demands of the race are similar to that of the 800 metres, but with a slightly higher emphasis on aerobic endurance and a slightly lower sprint speed requirement. The 1500 metre race is predominantly aerobic, but anaerobic conditioning is also required. Adam Piotr Kszczot (pronounced ; born 2 September 1989) is a retired Polish middle-distance runner, who specialized in the 800 metres. His achievements include a gold medal at the 2018 World Indoor Championships as well as silver medals at the 2014 World Indoor Championships, 2015 and 2017 World Championships in addition to multiple medals on European level. He twice competed at the Olympic Games, in 2012 and 2016, narrowly missing the final on both occasions. Kszczot won 13 individual Polish titles (in- and outdoors, including two 1500 metres titles). He is the current Polish national record holder for the indoor 800 metres.
