2013–14 PlusLiga
The 2013–14 PlusLiga was the 78th season of the Polish Volleyball Championship, the 14th season as a professional league organized by the Professional Volleyball League SA ( pl, Profesjonalna Liga Piłki Siatkowej SA) under the supervision of the Polish Volleyball Federation ( pl, Polski Związek Piłki Siatkowej). The number of teams competing in this season was increased from 10 to 12. PGE Skra Bełchatów achieved their 8th title of the Polish Champions. PlusLiga
The PlusLiga is the highest level of men's volleyball in Poland, a professional league competition featuring volleyball clubs located in this country. It is overseen by Polska Liga Siatkówki SA (PLS SA). It is currently a 16 teams league from October to April/May. The regular season is followed by playoffs, with the winner earning the Polish Championship ( pl, Mistrzostwo Polski). It is one of the best volleyball leagues in Europe, being highly ranked in the international competitions. Péter Veres (volleyball)
Péter Veres (born 22 February 1979) is a Hungarian volleyball player. He was a member of Hungary men's national volleyball team in 2001–2008 and the Italian club LPR Piacenza. From 2019 to 2021, he managed the women's volleyball team at Fatum Nyregyháza. Career Clubs Peter won the ''Best Receiver'' award for the 2010–11 CEV Champions League Final Four, also winning the bronze medal with VC Dynamo Moscow. Łukasz Perłowski
Łukasz Perłowski (born 3 April 1984) is a Polish volleyball player, a member of Poland men's national volleyball team and Polish club PZL Sędziszów Małopolski, three–time Polish Champion (2012, 2013, 2015). Personal life He is married and has a daughter named Julia. Career In 2004 he joined Asseco Resovia Rzeszów. He has been playing for the club from Rzeszów for over 10 years. In his first seven years there, he won silver (2009) and two bronze medals of Polish Championship (2010, 2011). In the season 2013/2014 he won Polish SuperCup and silver medal of Polish Championship after losing matches with PGE Skra Bełchatów. In April 2015 he achieved title of Polish Champion. In 2016 he left the club from Rzeszów and moved to 1st Polish league club Espadon Szczecin. Fabian Drzyzga
Fabian Drzyzga (born 3 January 1990) is a Polish professional volleyball player who plays as a setter for Asseco Resovia. He was a participant in the Olympic Games (Rio 2016, Tokyo 2020) and is a two–time World Champion (2014, 2018). Personal life Drzyzga was born in Bordeaux, France, because of his father Wojciech, a volleyball player and member of the French volleyball team, JSA Bordeaux. Jochen Schöps (born 8 October 1983) is a German professional volleyball player, a former member of the Germany national team, a participant at the Olympic Games (Beijing 2008, London 2012), bronze medallist at the 2014 World Championship, and the 2006–07 CEV Champions League winner. Personal life In March 2016, Schöps became a father to twins, daughter Lotte and son Theo. Aleh Akhrem
Aleh Akhrem or Olieg Achrem (born 12 March 1983) is a Belarusian professional volleyball coach and former volleyball player, a former member of the Belarus national team, with which he competed in the 2013 European Championship. He currently serves as an assistant coach for Asseco Resovia. Personal life Aleh was born in Grodno. On 5 January 2011, he received Polish citizenship (he changed his name as a result). Grzegorz Kosok (born 2 March 1986) is a Polish former professional volleyball player, a member of the Poland national team in 2011–2013, a participant at the Olympic Games London 2012, and the 2012 World League winner. Paul Michael Lotman (born November 3, 1985) is an American former professional volleyball player. He was part of the United States men's national volleyball team, U.S. national team, and a participant at the Olympic Games 2012 Summer Olympics, London 2012. The 2014 FIVB Volleyball World League, 2014 World League and the 2015 FIVB Volleyball Men's World Cup, 2015 World Cup winner. Personal life Lotman was born in Lakewood, California.
