2013–14 Bolton Wanderers F.C. Season
The 2013–14 season was Bolton Wanderers' second consecutive season in the Football League Championship following their relegation from the Premier League in 2012. It covered the period from 1 July 2013 to 30 June 2014. Pre-season On 29 May, the club announced a new shirt sponsorship deal with pay day loan company QuickQuid, replacing 188BET who sponsored the club's shirts for the previous two seasons. The deal sparked protests from fans and local politicians alike, with a petition asking the club to rethink the decision reaching over a thousand signatures within just over twenty four hours. Bolton Wanderers F
Bolton (, locally ) is a large town in Greater Manchester in North West England, formerly a part of Lancashire. A former mill town, Bolton has been a production centre for textiles since Flemish people, Flemish weavers settled in the area in the 14th century, introducing a wool and cotton-weaving tradition. The urbanisation and development of the town largely coincided with the introduction of textile manufacture during the Industrial Revolution. Bolton was a 19th-century boomtown and, at its zenith in 1929, its 216 cotton mills and 26 bleaching and dyeing works made it one of the largest and most productive centres of Spinning (textiles), cotton spinning in the world. Marvin Sordell
Marvin Anthony Sordell (born 17 February 1991) is an English former professional footballer who played as a forward. Sordell started his career with Fulham prior to joining Watford for a two-year scholarship in 2007. He made his professional debut for the club during the 2009–10 season, and also had loan spell in League One with Tranmere Rovers the same season. After 27 goals in 81 games for Watford in two-and-a-half years, Sordell earned a £3 million move to the Premier League with Bolton Wanderers in January 2012. He scored 8 goals in 29 appearances for the club, and spent the entirety of the 2013–14 season on loan at Charlton Athletic. Rotherham () is a large minster and market town in South Yorkshire, England. The town takes its name from the River Rother which then merges with the River Don. Football League
The English Football League (EFL) is a league of professional football clubs from England and Wales. Founded in 1888 as the Football League, the league is the oldest such competition in the world. Kevin Cyril Davies (born 26 March 1977) is an English former professional footballer who played as a striker for Chesterfield, Southampton, Blackburn Rovers, Millwall, Bolton Wanderers and Preston North End. He managed Southport in the 2017–18 season, before his contract was terminated on 30 April 2018. Davies originally made his name as a vital part of the Chesterfield team which reached the semi-finals of the FA Cup in 1997. Julie Hilling
Julie Ann Hilling (born 29 April 1955) is a British Labour Party politician, who was the Member of Parliament (MP) for Bolton West from 2010 until 2015. Background Hilling was born in Oxford and lived there until the age of 9 when her family moved to Leighton Buzzard. She attended The Cedars School before studying Chemistry at the University of Nottingham and then attaining a Diploma in Youth and Community Work at Manchester Polytechnic. She has lived in Atherton, which became part of the Bolton West constituency at the 2010 General Election, for 24 years. David Crausby
Sir David Anthony Crausby (born 17 June 1946) is a British Labour politician who served as Member of Parliament (MP) for Bolton North East from 1997 to 2019. Born in Bury, Lancashire, Crausby worked as a turner and later became a workplace representative for the Amalgamated Engineering Union. He was a Member of Bury Metropolitan Borough Council from 1979 to 1992, and elected as an MP at the 1997 general election. A backbencher throughout his tenure in Parliament, Crausby was a long-serving member of the Defence Select Committee and Panel of Chairs.
