2013–14 Armenian Premier League
The 2013–14 Armenian Premier League season was the twenty-second since its establishment. Shirak F.C. were the winners. The league started on 3 August 2013. Teams * 1FC Alashkert moved to the Hrazdan Stadium starting from matchday 16. * 2Ulisses FC moved to the City Stadium in Abovyan starting from matchday 17. Armenian Premier League
The Armenian Premier League ( hy, VBET Հայաստանի Պրեմիեր Լիգա, known as the VBET Armenian Premier League for sponsorship reasons) is the top association football, football competition in Armenia. From 1936 to 1991, the competition was held as a regional tournament within the USSR. After independence, the Football Federation of Armenia has been the unit in charge. Over the years, the league has evolved into a small league consisting of ten teams. The winner of the league is awarded a spot in the first qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League. Banants Stadium
Urartu Stadium ( hy, Ուրարտու Մարզադաշտ) is an all-seater football stadium in the Malatia-Sebastia District of Yerevan, Armenia. The stadium is home to Urartu FC and has a capacity of 4,860 seats. It was known as Banants Stadium until 1 August 2019, when it was officially renamed Urartu Stadium. Overview Urartu Stadium is located within the sports complex of Urartu Training Centre, occupying the southern part of the complex. The construction of the stadium was launched in 2006 with the assistance of the FIFA Goal Programme. It was officially opened in 2008 with a capacity of 3,600 seats. Further developments were implemented later in 2011, when the playing pitch was modernized and the capacity of the stadium was increased up to 4,860 seats; 2,760 at the northern stand, 1,500 at the southern stand and 600 at the western stand. Aleksandar Rakić (footballer)
Aleksandar Rakić ( sr, Александар Ракић; born 17 January 1987) is a Serbian professional footballer who plays as a forward. Club career Rakić began his career in 2005 with Cement Beočin in Serbian League Vojvodina. In 2013 Aleksandar moved to Armenian Premier League where he scored 22 goals in 70 games for Ararat Yerevan and Gandzasar Kapan. Chennai City FC In February 2018 Rakić joined I-League club Chennai City as a replacement for Murilo de Almeida. He made his debut in a 0-0 draw against Mohun Bagan. He scored his first goal in a 3-1 home win against Churchill Brothers. PS TIRA In March 2018, he moved to Southeast Asia from India to join and play for Indonesia club PS TIRA of the Liga 1 after he was sold by Chennai City. Serges Déblé
Serges Déblé (born 1 October 1989) is an Ivorian professional footballer who plays as a winger, most recently for Tobol in the Kazakhstan Premier League. Club career Born in Anyama, Ivory Coast, Déblé started his career with ASEC Mimosas. In 2008, he was signed by Charlton Athletic but was loaned out to Angers SCO on 14 July 2008 due to work permit reasons. He then signed on loan for FC Nantes in 2010. In January 2012, Déblé signed a short contract in Russia with FC Khimki. In May 2012, he joined with Russian first division club FC SKA-Energiya Khabarovsk on loan. Deblé was released by Viborg FF at the end of the 2016–17 season. He made a free transfer to China League One side Meizhou Hakka on 21 June 2017. On 15 January 2019, Déblé joined Hong Kong Premier League club R&F. On 14 October 2020, Déblé left the club after his club's withdrawal from the HKPL in the new season. The 2013–14 Armenian Cup is the 23rd season of Armenia's football knockout competition. It featured the eight 2013–14 Premier League teams, but no team from the 2013–14 First Division. The tournament began on 18 September 2013, with Pyunik the defending champions, having won their fifth title the previous season. Results Quarter-finals All eight Premier League clubs competed in this round. The first legs were played on 18 September and 2 October 2013, while the second legs were played on 23 October and 6 November 2013. Football Club Alashkert ( hy, Ֆուտբոլային Ակումբ Ալաշկերտ), commonly known as Alashkert, is an Football in Armenia, Armenian football club based in the capital Yerevan, founded in 1990 in Martuni, Armenia, Martuni and after folding in 2000 re-founded in 2011. They currently play in the Armenian Premier League. The home stadium of the team is the Alashkert Stadium in Yerevan. The club headquarters are located on Saryan street 25, Yerevan. Abovyan
Abovyan or Abovian ( hy, Աբովյան), is a town and urban municipal community in Armenia within the Kotayk Province. It is located northeast of Yerevan and southeast of the province centre Hrazdan. As of the 2011 census, the population of the town is 43,495, down from 59,000 reported at the 1989 census. Abovyan City Stadium
Abovyan City Stadium ( hy, Աբովյանի Քաղաքային Մարզադաշտ) is an all-seater stadium, all-seater association football, football stadium in Abovyan, Armenia. Overview Abovyan City Stadium was opened in 1966 and currently holds a capacity of 3,100 seats. The stadium which was known as Kotayk Stadium until 2006, used to have a capacity of 5,500 spectators. In 2006, the venue was turned into an all-seater stadium, thus reducing the capacity down to 3,946 seats (2,498 at the eastern stand and 1,448 at the western stand). The stadium was renamed Abovyan City Stadium during the same year. Major renovation works were executed in 2021-22. Gyumri City Stadium
Gyumri City Stadium ( hy, Գյումրիի քաղաքային մարզադաշտ) is an all-seater football stadium in Gyumri, Armenia. It is currently the home venue of the Armenian Premier League club FC Shirak of Gyumri. The current capacity of the stadium is 4,000 seats. History The stadium was built and opened in 1924 to become the first stadium in the modern history of Armenia. When Shirak was founded in 1958, the stadium became the regular home ground of the team for the Soviet First League competition. Starting from 1991, the stadium witnessed many glorious moments of FC Shirak in the Armenian Premier League and the Armenian Independence Cup.
