2013 ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships
The 2013 ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships took place from 11 to 15 September 2013 in Prague, Czech Republic under the auspices of International Canoe Federation (ICF) at the Prague-Troja Canoeing Centre. It was the 35th edition. Prague was the host city for the second time after hosting the event previously in 2006. The city was awarded the event at an ICF Board of Directors meeting in Budapest, Hungary on 10 April 2010."The Results from the Event Bidding are in!"

Jaroslav Volf
Jaroslav Volf (; born 29 September 1979, in Brandýs nad Labem) is a Czech slalom canoeist who competed at the international level from 1994 to 2013. Competing in four Summer Olympics, he won two medals in the C2 event with a silver in 2008 and a bronze in 2004. Volf also won nine medals at the ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships with six golds (C2: 2006; C2 team: 1999, 2003, 2006, 2007, 2013) and three silvers (C2: 2003, 2013; C2 team: 2010). Ján Bátik (born 17 January 1986 in Liptovský Mikuláš) is a retired Slovak slalom canoeist who competed at the international level from 2002 to 2018. He competed in the C1 event until 2005. He raced in the C2 event together with Tomáš Kučera from 2006 until 2018, when the discipline was discontinued. He also competed in the mixed C2 event alongside Soňa Stanovská in 2017 and 2018. Peter Hochschorner (born 7 September 1979) is a retired Slovak Canoe slalom, slalom canoeist who competed at the international level from 1996 to 2017. Competing together with his twin brother Pavol Hochschorner, they are the most successful C2 paddlers in the history of canoe slalom. They retired from canoe slalom in 2018 after the C2 event was discontinued and subsequently switched to wildwater canoeing.
