The 2012-2013 Elitserien was the sixth season of the Swedish bandy league Elitserien. League table At the end of the season. Elitserien (bandy)
The Elitserien (literally, the "Elite League") ( sv, Elitserien i bandy) is since the 2007–08 season the highest bandy league in Sweden. It consists of 14 teams. The season ends with one final game in March. The final was held at Studenternas IP in Uppsala from 1991 until 2012. In 2013 and 2014 the final was played at Friends Arena in Solna, and from 2015 to 2017 it was played at the Tele2 Arena. The final returned to 4,600-capacity Studenternas IP indoor stadium in 2018. Season structure During the regular season the fourteen teams play each other team at home and away - a total of 26 games per team. The top six teams directly qualify for the playoffs for the league championship, while the teams ranked from 7th to 10th enter an additional play-off to decide which teams take the other two championship play-off places. GAIS Bandy
GAIS Bandy is the bandy section of sports club GAIS from Gothenburg. In 1920, GAIS won the Gothenburg district championship, but the club had not had an active bandy department for years when it took up playing bandy again in 2005. GAIS play their home games at Heden in central Gothenburg. GAIS came close to winning their first tournament in 2006 when they lost 6-10 to IFK Kungälv in the final of the Kosa Cup. They hosted one match, Sweden-Russia, at the 2013 Bandy World Championship. Kalle Spjuth
Kalle Spjuth (born 27 May 1984) is a retired Swedish bandy player who played as a forward. Kalle is the younger brother of Slottsbrons IF player Per Spjuth and IK Tellus player Ola Spjuth. Kalle signed for Russian team Uralsky Trubnik after 2007. After Uralskys financial problems in winter of 2008, he together with team fellow, Robin Sundin and Jesper Ericsson, returned to former club Hammarby. He was mostly injured during the 2010 campaign when Hammarby got their first gold medal ever. He then signed for IK Sirius from the city of Uppsala, but returned to Hammarby in 2012. Stefan Erixon
Stefan Erixon (born 1 December 1977) is a former Swedish bandy player. Career Club career Erixon is a youth product of Gamleby and represented their senior team, IFK Motala, Hammarby before joining Zorky in 2007. In December 2008, his contract with Zorky was terminated because of the club's financial problems. Erixon then returned to Hammarby and played there until 2015. International career Erixon has played for the Swedish national bandy team making his debut in the 2001–02 season. David Pizzoni Elfving (born 26 November 1985) is a Swedish bandy player who plays for Hammarby IF and the Swedish national team as a midfielder. Ulf Adam Mustonen Gilljam (born 8 July 1990) is a Swedish professional bandy player. Nationalarenan, currently known as Friends Arena for sponsorship reasons, is a retractable roof multi-purpose stadium in Stockholm, Sweden.
