2012–13 Basketligan Season
The 2012–13 Basketligan season was the 20th season of the Basketligan. Twelve teams participated and Södertälje Kings eventually won the Swedish championship. Jämtland Basket
KFUM Jämtland Basket is a basketball club founded in based in Östersund, Sweden. Founded in 1956, the team plays in the Swedish Basketball League (SBL), the Swedish top basketball league. Home games are played in the Östersunds Sporthall, which has a capacity for 1,700 people. The club also has a women's team playing at the highest national level. History The team was previously named the Jämtland Ambassadors before the organisation went bankrupt in 1998. The team was re-founded under its current name Jämtland Basket. They played a couple of seasons in the second-tier Basketettan before promoting back in 2000. In the 2021–22 season, Jämtland had its best performance in club history as they reached the finals of the Swedish Basketball League for the first time after beating Köping Basket in the quarter-finals and Södertälje BBK in the semi-finals. Svenska Basketligan, or the Swedish Basketball League (SBL), is the premier league for professional basketball in Sweden. The league was originally established in 1992 as Basketligan and was known as that prior to the season of 2006–07, but when the Swedish company Obol Investment signed an agreement with the Swedish Basketball Federation in early October 2006, the league was renamed Obol Basketball League (OBL). In January 2007 the name was changed to Ligan, meaning simply the League. History On October 6, 2006, the Swedish Basketball Federation signed a 15-year agreement with Swiss company Obol Investment. Part of the deal was that ''Basketligan'' would be renamed ''Obol Basketball League''. Other parts of the deal include that the winning team would receive prize money if the team were to play in the EuroLeague during the following season. The agreement lasted for 15 years, but after five years Obol would make an evaluation and have the rights to then cancel the deal, if t ... Keith Wright (basketball)
Keith Andre Wright (born July 22, 1989) is an American professional basketball player for Stade Rochelais of the LNB Pro B. He played college basketball for Harvard. High school career Wright attended Princess Anne High School and Norfolk Collegiate School, where he graduated from. As a senior, he averaged 20.5 points, 13.0 rebounds and 3.5 blocks per game. In high school, Wright was a two-time All-State selection. College career Freshman season In Wright's freshman season, he appeared in 24 games, including 17 starts. He averaged 8.0 points per game and 5.5 rebounds per game. He was named Ivy League Rookie of the Week twice. Sophomore season Wright appeared in 24 games, starting in 18. Kodi Jerome Augustus (born November 2, 1987) is an American former professional basketball player. He played college basketball for Mississippi State. High school career Augustus originally attended Tara High School in his hometown of Baton Rouge, Louisiana before transferring to Willowridge High School in Houston, Texas for his junior season. As a junior in 2005–06, he averaged 16.9 points, 7.8 rebounds and 2.1 blocks per game as he earned first-team All-District 20-5A honors. He was also selected to the 2006 Houston Area Basketball Coaches Association All-Star Game, and was rated seventh among Texas recruits by Rivals.com in 2006. In November 2006, Augustus signed a National Letter of Intent to play college basketball for Mississippi State University.
