2012 Speedway Grand Prix Of Poland
The 2012 FIM Gorzow Speedway Grand Prix of Poland was the sixth race of the 2012 Speedway Grand Prix season. It took place on June 23 at the Edward Jancarz Stadium in Gorzów Wielkopolski, Poland. The Grand Prix was won by Martin Vaculík who beat Chris Harris, wild card Bartosz Zmarzlik and Tomasz Gollob. Vaculík becoming first Slovak rider who ride in the SGP and third rider who won SGP event in his debut (after Tomasz Gollob and Emil Sayfutdinov). It was 150th SPG event since 1995 and Greg Hancock was only rider who rode in all meetings. Riders The Speedway Grand Prix Commission nominated Bartosz Zmarzlik as Wild Card, and Piotr and Przemysław Pawlicki both as Track Reserves. Injured Jarosław Hampel was replaced by first Qualified Substitutes, Martin Vaculík. Gorzów Wielkopolski
Gorzów Wielkopolski (; german: Landsberg an der Warthe) often abbreviated to Gorzów Wlkp. or simply Gorzów, is a city in western Poland, on the Warta river. It is the second largest city in the Lubusz Voivodeship with 120,087 inhabitants (December 2021) and one of its two capitals with a seat of a voivode, with the other being Zielona Góra. Around Gorzów, there are two large forest areas: Gorzów Woods to the north, where the Barlinek-Gorzów Landscape Park is situated, and Noteć Woods to the southeast. Jason Philip Crump (born 6 August 1975) is an Australian international motorcycle speedway rider. He is a three-time Speedway World Champion, a World Cup winner and a former World Under-21 Champion. In a 21-year career in Speedway, Jason Crump finished with 7 World Championship titles to his name (4 individual including the U/21 title, and 3 teams), making him one of the most successful Australian motorcycle racers of all time (including road racing, speedway and motocross). Grant Tregoning
Grant Tregoning (born 26 January 1988) is former international motorcycle speedway rider from New Zealand. Career Tregoning began riding speedway at Moore Park in Christchurch when he was 13 years old. He won the New Zealand under-21 championship for the first time when he was 16 and won it again in the 2007–08 and 2008–09 seasons. He was offered a place in the Mildenhall Fen Tigers team in 2008 but due to a delay with his visa was unable to take his place. However, he was able to travel to Europe in May to compete in a World under-21 qualifying round in Norden, and after this rode in two meetings in England for the Buxton Hitmen in the Conference League. Jason Michael Bunyan (born 9 March 1979 in Milton Keynes) is a former England under-21 international motorcycle speedway rider from England. He is a ten times champion of New Zealand. Racing career He won the New Zealand Championship from 2004 to 2006, 2008 to 2010, 2012 to 2014 and 2016. The ten wins broke the previous record of nine wins held by Larry Ross. Peter Kildemand (born 1 September 1989) is a motorcycle speedway rider from Denmark. Career He is a member of the Danish national team. He was a member of the Swindon Robins Elite League Championship winning side of 2012 and was named "Rider of the Year" for the club at the end of the season. Kildemand was also part of the Fjelsted team that won the 2017 Danish Speedway League. He was captain of Västervik Speedway team in 2018. Josef Franc (born 18 January 1979, in Čáslav, Czech Republic) is a former international motorcycle racer who competed in Grasstrack, Longtrack and motorcycle speedway. Career He has appeared as a track reserve in the 2007 Czech Republic Speedway Grand Prix, scoring three points from two rides and has represented the Czech Republic national speedway team at senior level. Franc was the Czech Republic Under-21 Champion in 1999 and was the Czech Republic national champion in 2017 and 2018.
