2012 Milwaukee Mustangs Season
The Milwaukee Mustangs season was the fourth season for the franchise, and the third in the Arena Football League (AFL). The team was coached by Bob Landsee and played their home games at BMO Harris Bradley Center. The Mustangs finished the season 5–13 and did not qualify for the playoffs. Following this season, the Mustangs announced that they would suspend operations for 2013, with the hope of returning to play in 2014. Standings Schedule The Mustangs had a bye week during the season's opening week, and began the season on the road in week 2 against the Arizona Rattlers on March 17. Their first home game was on March 29 when they hosted the Pittsburgh Power. Bob Landsee
Robert John Landsee (born March 21, 1963) is a former American football player and coach. He was also the head coach and owner of the Milwaukee Mustangs of the Arena Football League (AFL) till the team folded. He is a former American football center and guard who played for two seasons in the National Football League (NFL). He played for the Philadelphia Eagles from 1986–1987. He was drafted by the Eagles in the sixth round of the 1986 NFL Draft. He played college football at Wisconsin. Playing career Landsee earned All-State honors in both football and basketball at Iron Mountain High School. Before his graduation in 1985, he had also earned All-American and All-Big Ten honors during his career at Wisconsin. Landsee was drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles in the sixth round of the 1986 NFL Draft. He played for two seasons with the Eagles, from 1986 to 1987. The Spokane Shock season was the seventh season for the franchise, and the third in the Arena Football League. The team was coached by Andy Olson and played their home games at Spokane Veterans Memorial Arena. The Shock finished the season 10–8, but did not qualify for the playoffs for the first time in their franchise's history. The Georgia Force season was the ninth season for the franchise in the Arena Football League. The team was coached by Dean Cokinos and played their home games at Arena at Gwinnett Center. The Cleveland Gladiators season was the 13th season for the franchise in the Arena Football League, and the fourth while in Cleveland. The team was coached by Steve Thonn and played their home games at Quicken Loans Arena. The Gladiators finished the season with an 8–10 record and did not qualify for the playoffs. In this season, the Gladiators became the first team in the history of the league to forfeit a game. They did so on June 8 when the players went on strike prior to a matchup against the Pittsburgh Power in week 14.
