2011 NASCAR Corona Series Season
The 2011 NASCAR Corona Series was the eighth season of the Corona Series and was organized by NASCAR Mexico. The season was composed by fourteen races in seven venues across Mexico. The season started in Monterrey with the Regia 200, and finished in Mexico City in the Mexico Fest 200. Six drivers won races being Homero Richards the most winner with five. Mónica Morales won the owners championship for third time and Germán Quiroga successful defend his championship, winning his third championship. Enrique Contreras III won the Rookie of the Year title. Report The kickoff of the season was in Monterrey. This was the 100th race of the NASCAR Corona Series, NCS. Patrick Goeters dominated the race from start, and won his fourth race in his career. In the second race, Jorge Goeters won his 10th race, and the fourth in this track. NASCAR Mexico is a joint-venture between NASCAR and OCESA, a Mexican entertainment company, aiming to develop, manage and operate local motorsports events and oversee television distribution, sponsorship and licensing. The venture attempts to create marketing programs to increase interest in local NASCAR events as well as NASCAR events in the United States that are televised in Mexico. Tuxtla Gutiérrez
Tuxtla Gutiérrez (, ) is the capital and the largest city of the Mexican southeastern state of Chiapas. José Luis Ramírez (racing Driver)
José Luis Ramírez (born May 8, 1979) is a NASCAR driver. He has attempted to become the fourth Mexican people, Mexican driver to run a Nextel Cup race after Pedro Rodríguez (racing driver), Pedro Rodríguez, Al Loquasto, and Jorge Goeters. He attempted a Nextel race in 2005 at Infineon Raceway, but he failed to qualify. He did qualify for two NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series races that season, ending up with a 36th and 29th-place finishes. He has two Busch Series starts. Jorge Arteaga (born March 28, 1986, in Aguascalientes) is a Mexican Auto racing, racing driver and Entrepreneurship, entrepreneur. He competed in the NASCAR Toyota Series. He won the NASCAR's Most Popular Driver Award, Most Popular Driver award for the Mexican Series three straight times, from 2009 to 2011. Carlos Contreras (born June 8, 1970) is a Mexican professional stock car racing driver and crew chief. He was the first Mexico-born driver racing full-time in any NASCAR national series. He has competed in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series and NASCAR Xfinity Series. NASCAR career Xfinity Series Contreras made his first Busch Series attempt in 2002 with the Hispanic Racing Team.
